Oh yes! Confetti dreams and a whole lot of love. It’s time to share Hannah and Jen’s Clockworks Liverpool wedding, which was super personal, laid-back and really very fun.
I love that Hannah and Jen described their day to me as ‘perfectly us‘. That to me is the epitome of a fantastic wedding. It’s easy to see how much of a blast they had from these joy filled images.
Not only did they incorporate their favourite colours, teal, navy and gold, they also had their cute pup with them and some super stylish attire. They had cool decorations, smoke bombs and an awesome ride to name a few.
Big thanks to Rachel Burt Photography for sharing with us these epic images. Enjoy them all.

We had discussed getting married towards the end of 2019. In February of 2020, we went ring shopping. I already had a diamond I wanted to be mounted in the setting. Unfortunately, the setting arrived, and we went into lockdown. So I was left with 2 parts of an engagement ring…
I had to wait until the jewellers reopened to get the ring complete! I proposed the day I collected the ring!
Nothing fancy, we were at home. Hannah was out enjoying the sunset on our balcony. I grabbed our puppy, Binky, and the ring and got down on one knee. As she turned around, we were there and I popped the question! I think Hannah’s first reply was ‘are you serious?!’ Followed by a ‘yes!’
We had a pretty good idea of the colour scheme we wanted – our favourite colours – navy, teal and gold.
We were planning on having a fairly modest wedding, so I decided I would take on the task of making all the decorations for the venue, whilst Hannah was working full time.
We wanted great food, a relaxed vibe and an awesome space that everyone could enjoy. 70m of handmade bunting later, the table decorations, flowers, lights, signage and confetti were ready!

Hannah wanted a wedding dress. We had to rely on the internet to find one, as we were still in lockdown! I think we tried 4 or 5 on before Jen found the ‘one’ whilst trawling the internet one day! A beautiful fitted gown with sequins.
Jen wore navy trousers (that she already had!) and a grey jacket and a white shirt, with a dickie bow and braces. A total ‘Jen’ outfit!
We kept it short and sweet with a ceremony at the registry office at St George’s Hall in Liverpool.

Our photographer was the legendary Rachel Burt. Made us feel so relaxed. No posing or awkward moments, just goofy smiles and pulling faces! Rach was our right-hand woman throughout the day. Total superstar!
Perfectly capturing every part of our day.
We made all the decorations at home, on the day our awesome friends, Georgie and Tidy, at Bettsy Media were on hand to make sure the venue was decorated as I had specified!
Hannah’s flowers and Jen’s corsage were supplied by Brompton Buds. They were made to order, with several dried ferns, representing her New Zealand roots. The gorgeous peacock feathers tied in beautifully with our colour scheme!

We’ve not had our honeymoon yet (we are waiting for everywhere to open). We’ve had a mini-moon to Majorca so far!
We went to have our couples photos before the ceremony (not traditional in the slightest, but we got to enjoy the whole reception with our family and friends). Our hair and make-up was still on fleek, too!
Enjoy your day, take some time for yourselves to take it all in.
The day goes by so fast!
