I just love the dusky blue wedding colour scheme featured in this editorial shoot. It really works, it’s both pretty and soft as well as really versatile for any wedding season. Paired with the brass touches, the blues really pop and come to life.
Brought to us by Sweetpea and Ivy and SJP Photography the shoot showcases a plethora of wedding ideas. From the long wooden table adorned with candles and flowers, to the striking cake table and whimsical outfits. Real couple Jane and Matthew looked so loved up, not to mention just stunning in their bride and groom looks.
Do also look out for pretty paper goods, which also includes a unique paper bouquet. Oh my.

I had the idea of a dusky blue shoot as I absolutely love the gentle colour palette. I was really keen to incorporate some eclectic vintage brass vases with the candlesticks. For the floral arrangements I used lots of sage green foliage, Eucalyptus and Cineraria, along with white Ranunculus, Hydrangea and blue Delphiniums, I felt it was important to have lots of soft blooms incorporated to create a gentle romantic look.
I wanted a sophisticated venue that had charm but you could also put your own style on it and Delamere Manor fitted the bill perfectly. It was once Gary Barlow’s old house and if its good enough for Gary it was good enough for me! Delamere Manor’s grounds you really feel a million miles away from anyone, surrounded by green lawns, lakes and beautifully maintained gardens.

Our photographer, Shauna Jones Paton, pulled all the elements of the shoot together with her storytelling style, she put our models at ease and let them laugh and interact in their own natural way which led to these lovely genuine moments being captured.
Wirral Table and Chair Hire kindly provided us with two of their rustic wood-stained trestle tables to dress and their stunning rustic cross back chairs.
Elizabeth Anna Cake Design came up with a wonderful cake which incorporated lots of texture, using delicate wafer paper to create abstract ruffles with a hint of the blue colour palette peeking through. With pretty cookie and chocolate favours for the table designed to complement the cake.

Ling from Paper by Dragonfly provided us with an elegant stationery suite, comprised of invitations with a delicate floral vellum sleeve and gold wax seals, matching reply cards and a set of table stationery including, menus, place cards and table numbers, all printed on thick white card which featured a pretty dusky blue floral design.
In addition, Paper by Dragonfly created a bouquet of stunning paper flowers and a matching buttonhole. Each flower is painstakingly made by hand, petal by petal, wired and arranged into a beautiful bouquet, creating a timeless work of art and a wonderful keepsake.
Due to the pandemic, our real couple Jane and Matthew had to drastically reduce their own wedding last year, to the point where they couldn’t get professional pictures taken. I wanted them to have that experience and I knew they would be perfect for the shoot, it made many of the moments we captured truly emotional for them and their love for each other really shone through in the images.

Jane wore a stunning Pearl strewn Donata, Ronald Joyce gown, provided by Tracey from Cherish Bridal Northwich, a simple chiffon gown paired with a gorgeous tulle and pearl overlay with dramatic statement sleeves
Our bride Jane sparkled in both the sun and rain as she and her partner Matthew were styled with a selection of diamond, aquamarine, topaz and tanzanite pieces… all provided by Wongs Jewellers.
Jane wore a bejewelled Ava comb provided by Cassie M Bridal Accessories, resting above an elegant soft textured low bun by Amy Thexton from Tusk Salon and later on a simple chic, jewel-encrusted headband.
Make Up – Cassie M Bridal created a soft, natural bridal look on Jane using Fenty foundation, warm nude tones on the eyes and rosy lip shade that simply enhanced Janes natural beauty.
