Siera and Manuel are joining us today with their glam and spooky Halloween elopement in Virginia, US. With Halloween on the near horizon, this hauntingly beautiful day may just get you into the Halloween mood. Siera and Manuel were married on the 31st October 2020, surrounded by their loved ones followed by a DIY reception.
One of the things I love most about their wedding story is how they met and their relationship story before getting engaged. It’s also really special to see their daughter be such a large part of their engagement and their wedding day itself.
I am sure you’ll agree Siera and Manuel both looked incredible in their attire and I just love these atmospheric images kindly shared with us by Flit Photography.

We met in high school. We got pregnant senior year and broke things off some point during the pregnancy. We were on and off for a while but officially called it off when our daughter was a baby.
We co-parented well and were always a part of each other lives. We never got back into another relationship. 12 years later we both realized we never fell out of love for each other. We were just young.
We got back together and hit it off like we never left each other. Shortly after he proposed.
He got my family to get me to this beautiful bridge where he came out from hiding behind a tree. After he said a few words our daughter came from behind with our dog. Our daughter was the one who asked me if I would marry her dad. It was an awesome moment I got to share with my family.
I got married on Halloween and we went with a glam spooky wedding. We did get married pretty much at a graveyard. It used to be an old church but it has since been torn down. It was a beautiful historic place.
At the ceremony, we only added small lanterns. The sight itself was beautiful enough.
The reception was fully DIY. All the tables were black and we had mismatched vases with dried flowers. Old books and a lantern on each table. The room was only lit by string lights. Soft romantic look.
I only had a bouquet for myself and my daughter (bridesmaid) carried a lantern with flowers cascading from it. The only other flowers were dried flowers for the decor.
Our wedding was very simple. The whole day was perfect but laid back. Nothing different.
I love old Hollywood glam. My dress was from a pinup website. I added a black leather jacket just to add a little rock and roll.
Seeing him waiting for me down the aisle. Same for him.
Don’t stress out about the little things.
Everything will go perfect and if it doesn’t no one will know but you.
Breathe and enjoy your day. It’s about you and your other.
