Simple yet cool was order of the day for Sam and Lizi’s stunning Home SW15 wedding. They chose to marry at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London and opted for a restaurant reception as great food was a top priority for them both.
They had an intimate feel to their day, with the most stylish outfits. Lizi chose an elegant gown which she had altered, teamed with a striking bow in her hair, blue heels and the cutest bag. Sam wore a classic suit and stripe tie with a simple pocket square. Didn’t they both look incredible?
I adore the bouquet, the romantic portraits around the city and the flower wedding cake. Oh so beautiful.
Thanks ever so much to Grace Pham Photography for sharing with us these sublime images of one very special city celebration indeed.

Sam and I have been together for 10 years, and although it hadn’t always been the plan, in the last couple of years we’d discussed getting married and decided it would be in our future, but not set on exactly when that would be.
Sam started looking for an engagement ring, he wanted something old, and found the perfect antique ring in Hatton Garden. He hadn’t decided when he was going to propose, but he put the ring in his pocket as we went out for my 30th birthday.
We got off the tube a stop early and walked along Putney Bridge and along the river, which we sometimes do because it looks beautiful all lit up at night. We sat down on a bench chatting away. He told me had got me another present and pulled the ring out of his pocket! It was perfect, just the two of us, in a place we love.

We just wanted something simple, but cool with the focus on amazing food and dancing, and we got exactly that.
We just wanted our amazing family and best friends around us to celebrate and have fun.

We held our ceremony at the Chelsea Old Town Hall. We talked about our wedding for years, even before we decided it would happen, just planning the little details or if we saw other weddings, what we liked and didn’t.
We always knew we wanted to get married here, its close to where we lived in Putney and my Aunt and Uncle got married there 30 years before! It just seemed to be the perfect place to have a low-key ceremony, but at the same time feeling really special.
We also knew we wanted a restaurant. Food is my favourite thing and we wanted it to be good, so we chose a local independent restaurant that we knew well served delicious food and drinks! The team definitely delivered at Home SW15, the food was incredible (all 4 courses and canapés) and the cocktails flowed all night!
They cleared the tables for dancing into the night, it was exactly what we wanted.

True to my personality sorting out my outfit was a bit chaotic! I saw my dress right at the beginning of my search, but it was a little out of my budget, so went on looking. I tried so many dresses but they all felt a bit too bridal for me, I wanted something simple, but cool and was really interested in the idea of having a huge bow in my hair.
Finally, just a few weeks before the wedding I saw the original Harriette Gordon dress on Still White, directly advertised by the designer. It had a tiny imperfection, but they assured me it was barely visible, they were so helpful as I was nervous about it coming all the way from Australia, but I finally went for it and it arrived in a week!
I immediately took it to be altered, shortening the sleeves and removing the train, cutting it to ankle length, I had my last fitting two days before the wedding and it was perfect!
I took the offcuts to my mum four days before the wedding and asked her to make me a bow, she worked her magic and it was amazing!!
I already knew what my dream shoes were, and spent a long time thinking about buying the Loeffler Randall Camellia’s in blue. A week before the wedding (you might see a theme here), I ordered them from an amazing bridal shop in Newcastle. It took a lot of time (and a bit of stress), but I found the perfect outfit just in time!
Sam was much less high maintenance and wore a suit he already had. He did buy himself some new shoes and a new tie, though!

Grace Pham – she was wonderful (as you can see) and took some amazing photos of us that we will cherish forever.

Flowers – F For Flower in Putney, we didn’t have many flowers, but the little vases on the tables were exactly what we wanted. Just something simple and my bouquet was beautiful too!
We utilised our incredibly talented friends for our stationery and cake. My wonderful best friend Lauren created our invites and menus and they came out exactly as I envisaged!
Our cake was incredible, our amazing bestie Kim made us the most delicious carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. She’s an incredible baker and makes the most beautiful cakes for any occasion @kimberleysbakes!

Straight after the wedding, we went to Cornwall for a few days, to relax and do nothing before going back to work for a couple of weeks.
We’d talked for years about doing a little road trip around Italy, I love food and pasta is my favourite! We spent two weeks there in July, starting in Bologna and after getting a few trains via Florence, we drove from Naples to Taormina, via the Amalfi coast in our little rented Fiat 500, it was a dream!

Wow, what an epic day!
