Stylish & Fun Music-Filled Outdoor Surrey Wedding

What a delight it is to be sharing Becki and Leigh’s super stylish outdoor Surrey wedding with you. They were married at the beautiful Millbridge Court in an outdoor ceremony flanked by blooming gorgeous flower pillars, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. What a dream!

They wanted their day to have music performances from beginning to end and I love their personal song choices. They also had a bottomless Prosecco drinks reception which I am sure was a big hit with their guests. From their stylish outfit choices to the chic pink reception decor and the lush flowers, you’ll be in wedding heaven.

Outdoor Surrey Wedding

The Proposal

December of 2021 marked 10 years of us being together and a few months before, my Mum had kindly offered to book us a night away as our Christmas present.

The ceiling of the hotel room was filled with lots of red heart balloons and one balloon read ‘Becki, will you marry me?’.

It turns out – my mother didn’t book the hotel room for us; it was just a plan between them both to get me off the scent of an anniversary proposal.

The Vision

A relaxed and fun wedding spent with all our family and friends.

Music performances would be with you from the moment you arrived to the moment you left, and the drinks would be flowing. We had bottomless prosecco for our drink’s reception!

A lot. Oops!

The Venue

Millbridge Court gave us the three things which were a top priority for us when choosing a venue: we were able to get married outside, there were enough bedrooms on site for our wedding party to stay and it was small enough that everybody stayed together all day and night.

The garden at Millbridge is beautiful, and the floor-to-ceiling windows of the wedding breakfast room meant you could look out on this view. It also has a cute cabin tucked away at the end of the garden kept exclusively for the wedding couple for the night of the wedding.

The Ceremony & Music

I walked down the aisle with my 4-year-old son to the song ‘At Last’ by Etta James. I lost my dad in 2020 so it was a special moment for me to have one of my sons do the honor.

We walked out of our ceremony to ‘She’s Electric’ by Oasis – a nod to our youth and the music of that era.

Our first dance was to ‘Everywhere’ by Fleetwood Mac which our sons call ‘the sparkle song’ because of the amazing intro.

We had a DJ, a live singer and a saxophonist keeping the party going all night. This amazing music team was the first supplier I booked after confirming the venue.

Your Outfits

My wedding dress is from Teokath of London, the brand is Pronovias. I also had an evening dress, but I didn’t end up wearing it. I got so many compliments about my dress that by the evening I didn’t want to get out of it.

Leigh wore a dark navy suit with tails which was hired through Moss Bros. His mantra was ‘tails are smart’ and he picked his suit the first day he went to find it.

Your Photographer

Our photographer was Kit Myers – we chose him because I knew he wasn’t going to be intrusive. On the day he was fantastic at getting the staged photos and gave us great direction. We aren’t naturally comfortable in front of the camera.

The Honeymoon

We are yet to go on honeymoon but are planning a trip to Ibiza in Summer 2024!

The Styling & Decor

After the venue and food, flowers were one of our biggest expenses. They can completely change how a room looked and I wanted beautiful flowers with white, cream and blush pink tones. I knew that I wanted high centrepieces for the tables and for flowers to be the most significant decoration for the ceremony. We got married between two flower tiers.

We chose not to have a cake, but we did have a pink sweet tray come out with our evening food.

We had a photo wall of all our guests, B&L lit up in lights and an open photo booth.

Memorable Moments

Advice For Other Couples

It’s hard not to listen to other opinions and be swayed from your original idea, but if that’s what you want, you should go for it.

The months leading up to the day can feel quite daunting, and you can second guess if you should be spending money on certain aspects of the day. I can tell you now, that it’s all worth it in the end, the feeling you have on your wedding day, spent with all your favourite people means it’s all worth it eventually.
