The sheer emotion and epic landscapes gracing us on the blog today absolutely took my breath away – and I’m so honoured to finally share these photos with you!
Christina and Gordon chose to return to the windswept coasts of Iceland, where the proposal had taken place six months before, with a few of their loved ones, to bring to life their vision of an intimate Icelandic wedding in the middle of nowhere. The dramatic play between light and dark in the photographs by The Curries tells the story of the couple’s adventure, with a backdrop of sweeping horizons, minimalist authenticity, and waterfalls glistening with rainbows. The silence is broken only by the crashing of the waves, a few words by Carl Sagan echoing of the cosmos, and hauntingly beautiful music by Sigur Rós.
If ever there was proof that a wedding need not be elaborate to be unforgettable, it’s these wonderful photographs below. Sit back, relax, and let the magic wash over you ♡
