First up the bride and groom were married in a romantic woodland ceremony, surrounded by pampas grass. Following the ceremony, the bride changes into a showstopping lilac wedding dress for their outdoor reception. A story that begins in a year where celebrating a wedding or travelling has been more than difficult. A story where we have come together to make the elopement of a couple whose wishes to get married were cut short by a world pandemic.

Jose and Sofia, to whom we have given the moment they lost, have given us much more than we could have expected: capturing the emotion in their gazes, holding back their tears, their unbridled caresses… each and every moment was designed so that they could declare their unconditional love for each other.

In the search for a remote place that would justify the trip they could not make, we found La Escondida. To have a place so close, a place that transported us to the Italian Tuscany, with its Mediterranean landscapes and warm colours could not be real.

Because we have put love and care into every detail, we have managed to make this publishing so different, and it is different because it is real.

We want to present a journey, a story, a dream of love come true.

Our Story

When you travel the winding roads and mountains that surround Alcoy, you don’t expect to find a place like La Escondida. A hotel from where you can hear the birds singing, located in a unique enclave: on top of a hill surrounded by pine trees and Mediterranean vegetation.

Jose and Sofia, the protagonists of our story, were unable to get married and enjoy their honeymoon last year. Making this project was a way of granting them their unfulfilled wish: on the one hand, we would celebrate their wedding in detail, and on the other, we would take them to Tuscany, a place where they had confessed to us they would like to be able to travel.

The naturalness of the development of Carlos Lucca’s photos and the video by La Tela Films transport the reader to live an authentic love story. Each fragment and each image shows the emotions that we experience together with them: their looks, their desire, their complicity in intimacy.

The Vision

The inspiration for the session was based on the surroundings and decoration of the hotel, whose yellow façade and rustic style dominated the scene. The colours selected focused on warm and purple tones. Lilacs, purples and even fuchsias contrasted with the wood and traditional elements of the place. Marina Orozco, from Mariene Eventos, was in charge of coordinating and designing each of the spaces and moments that took place. Dressed by Boutique Myriam, she participated as the officiant of the wedding that the couple always wished for.

The decoration, composed by Rosamary Florist, was influenced by the classic trends of the moment. Vases with lighthearted Greco-Roman inspired flowers were used for both the ceremony and dinner areas.

The stationery, designed by Invitarte, refers to the local fauna and flora. Natural materials, flowers and birds are combined in a burst of colour printed on paper.

The Outfits

The bride’s outfits belong to the imagination of Mirian Valcárcel of Cu&Cu, who personally contacted the couturier Jordi Dalmau so that he could leave us two of his creations. The dresses fitted perfectly with the idea she had of what she wanted to do:

The first one, cooler, I would use for the daytime photos. Together with green make-up and earrings in the same colour, it would give an image of a sweet bride, maybe country, which would contrast with the rocker two-piece headdress designed by Como Orito en Paño.

The second, designed for the evening, is a dress with a spectacular skirt in purple tones. The bride presented a more casual look, in keeping with her personal style. She took advantage of the occasion to let her hair down, to raise the tones of her eye make-up, and to change her headdress for a black one by the same designer. It gave way to a wild and nocturnal setting, just like the creations of the author of the dresses and the character of our special bride.

Given that the designer’s symbol is two wings, we wanted to make a nod to the couturier by taking some photographs where we simulated that the bride was an angel with the same pampas that had been used for the decoration.

Completing the looks, we could not miss two different models of shoes, both in light tones by Santiago Abad, and the jewellery by Acus Complementos where we combined both earrings for the bride and rings for the ceremony.

Regarding Jose’s look, we thought of a classic groom, dressed in a black dinner jacket, given on this occasion by Benavent Moda Hombre.

The couple looked like a real bride and groom at all times without ever losing their style, which made them feel comfortable and natural despite the nerves and excitement of the moment.

The Cake

To round off the session, we were able to taste the wonderful five-tier cake made by Pastelería Violet, in lilac and white tones and with ornamentation based on delicate flowers, together with the bride and groom. A dream creation, which put an end to our session and to this story that we have told you.
