Love wins again and I am overjoyed to be sharing the intimate and romantic Llwynegrin Hall wedding of Nick and Julia. Nick and Julia were hitched on the 13th February 2021 in a registry office ceremony in Mold, North Wales. Together with Nick and Julia were 4 guests making for a really special day indeed.

Didn’t they both look gorgeous and so loved up too? Julia was 34 weeks pregnant at the time and chose a short maternity dress teamed with grey heels and a greenery bouquet. Nick meanwhile donned a smart blazer, grey chinos and an open collar shirt.

A big thank you to Wyldbee Photography for sharing these absolutely beautiful captures of a really incredible celebration.

The Proposal

Nick proposed to Julia in the snowy Italian Alps during a ski holiday in 2019. This seemed the appropriate place to propose, as we met skiing in the Alps back in 2010. Nick carried the ring in a spare pair of ski socks in his rucksack, waiting for the right place, weather and moment to propose. It was a powder day, after pasta and prosecco at a mountain restaurant, where the proposal took place.

The Vision

The vision was a wedding with all of our family and friends in Sweden, in the small seaside town that Julia grew up in. 120 guests from all over the world coming together to enjoy a Swedish summer wedding. However, due to the pandemic, we settled for a lovely quiet registry office wedding in Mold, North Wales. The ceremony consisted of 4 guests, the groom, bride and a rather large bump, as Julia was 34 weeks pregnant. So the original vision vs reality differed greatly, however it was lovely all the same, and we will continue the celebration with friends and family in summer 2022 in Sweden.

Budget

£500, excluding rings (One advantage of Covid).

Your Outfits

Nick: Ted Baker Blazer and chinos.

Julia: Queen Bee – It was ordered 2 weeks in advance due to the growing belly. Safe to say Julia was a bit nervous she wouldn’t fit into it for obvious reasons. Not the easiest time to get hold of an appropriate outfit due to lockdown, but we made it work thanks to online shopping.

The Ceremony & Music

Standard registry office ceremony, with personal vows and readings from friends and family.

Music: Entrance: Vivaldi, Four Seasons, recomposed by Max Richter.

Exit: There will be time. Mumford & Sons

The Honeymoon

A Piccolino Italian Restaurant takeaway meal and back home for a lockdown Honeymoon.

Memorable Moments

As it only lasted for 20 minutes, the whole experience was indeed memorable as it wasn’t quite the day that we planned but lovely in a different way.

Advice For Other Couples

Adapt to the situation, we did, and we loved our little intimate wedding! Personalise the ceremony by writing your own vows.
