Welcome to the stunning Northumberland barn wedding of Hannah and Graham! They were wed at WWW wedding supplier venue, the fantastic Barn on the Bay in the summer.
Their celebrations were colourful and fun, with sunny weather and a gorgeous beachside ceremony. They then partied in the barns that were decorated so beautifully. Think bright blooms, cute bunting and thoughtful details.
Look out for their sweet pup, the fun cake stand and glitter. Plus their bridesmaids donned WWW faves, Rewritten dresses, hooray!
Erika Tanith Photography, thank you ever so much for sharing your fabulous images of one very happy day indeed.
During a hike on the Fairfield Horseshoe in the Lake District in 2020.
Relaxed! Basically wanted a big party with all our family and friends. We love being outdoors so having a venue with the possibility of getting married on a beach/up a mountain/in a forest was something we were looking for.
Barn on the Bay at Hemscott Hill Farm was our perfect venue. Getting married on the sand dunes, having drinks in the paddock then partying the night away in the cow barn was our idea of a perfect wedding!
The Barn on the Bay team were totally fantastic from start to finish. They totally took the pressure off, allowing us to fully relax and simply enjoy every moment. Also special mention to them being such a dog friendly venue (very important to us and our little border terrier Nell!).
My dress was by Eliza Jane Howell and was found for me by the wonderful Judith and Laurie at Epernay Bridal in Newcastle. They also had the vision for alterations to make it into my perfect dress. They were meticulously done by the fantastic Aimee from Corset and Couture.
My dress was comfortable, sparkly and made me feel amazing all day long. Judith and Laurie also did my beautiful bridal makeup.
Bridesmaid dresses were from Rewritten in the colour ‘Marine’ – perfect for a beachside wedding!
Graham, his groomsmen and our dads wore suits from Moss Bros. Ties were from Frederick Thomas and were the perfect colour to match the bridesmaid dresses. Pocket squares were made by my mum in the same fabric as our wedding bunting.
We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather on our wedding day to allow us to get married on the sand dunes overlooking Druridge Bay. We had two fantastic readings including a poem written specifically for our big day by two of our closest friends making the ceremony feel personal.
The very talented Kimberley Heron provided beautiful acoustic guitar music for our ceremony and drinks reception.
Our evening entertainment was provided by Discography, an 8 piece band playing Disco anthems and keeping the dance floor full all night long. We went big on the disco theme making sure our guests were covered in glitter and providing them with glowstick heart glasses to party all night long!
Our photographer was Erika Tanith who made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Erika managed to capture the feel of the day perfectly and also caught so many natural, funny and silly moments that will keep us laughing for years to come.
Our wedding videographer was Jaye (aka Wild Love Visuals) who was also just brilliant, quietly but carefully capturing our day and making the perfect wedding video.
Our flowers were by the very talented Moria J Florist. The brief was vibrant corals, oranges and peach colours with some blue/silvers and lots of green foliage. Moira’s arrangements, bouquets and pin holes were stunning. She also created the cutest flower hoop for our 14-month-old daughter Phoebe.
Our cake was by Naomi at Studio 28 Patisserie and was vanilla sponge with different fruit layer fillings. It was utterly delicious!
The remaining wedding décor (including signage, bunting, ribbon garlands etc) were all homemade, by ourselves and our very handy friends and family. The general theme was to keep things bright and colourful.
We are going away as a family of three in January 2023 for some winter sun in Mauritius.
So many!
The ceremony on the dunes, the garden games in the paddock, the guests popping the cork for the toasting bubbles and the huge glitter disco party to finish the day. We had the biggest grins on our faces all day long.
We also want to give a special mention to our amazing nanny for the day (and night) Bex who was just fantastic with our daughter Phoebe. Knowing she was being so well looked after and entertained made us fully relax on our big day.
Also a mention to Caroline from Barking Mad Northumberland who helped with care for our dog Nell all weekend (including chaperoning Nell at the wedding).
Stay true to what you want your wedding to be and go for it! It will be an amazing day and enjoy every moment!
Oh so gorgeous!
Hannah and Graham, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your beautiful Northumberland barn wedding story with us.
