When a wedding photographer gets married, you just know it’s going to be one epic celebration. WWW followers Cara and Chris were hitched at Southwood Hall in Norfolk, they tied the knot with an outdoor woodland ceremony, followed by a celebration in the magical barns. They wanted their wedding to have a boho outdoorsy vibe and that is exactly what they achieved thanks to the stunning location and the gorgeous styling. They included bohemian touches which I just love, such as the macrame hanging, lanterns in the trees, festoon lighting and rustic wooden details. So so lovely.
The flowers were really wonderful too, with on trend pampas grass used in the barn and the bountiful bouquets filled with peonies and roses, very lush indeed. Shout outs too for the seriously stunning attire, the little fish details, smoke bombs and a show stopping cake. Awesome.
Thanks ever so much to Georgia Rachael Photography for sharing with us these remarkable images today.

Ohh so this is an emotional one! I’ll start with the sad bit… when I was a teenager my dad died in a road traffic accident, it happened on Easter Sunday which has always been a hard time for me. We never get each other easter eggs for this reason. Anyway easter morning he came down with a massive egg, I was confused, I think I even said what are you doing? He told me to get it out and when I did it said in big writing will you marry me on the egg and he was on one knee! It was amazing and so emotional. He said he did it because he wanted it to change easter for me to a happy time and he’s right its worked and I’ll never forget it! He went and asked my grandads (dads dad) permission before hand too which was so special for him.

So I love the colour nude as a theme and I knew I wanted a sightly boho outdoorsy wedding! Being in the industry I was very trusting and I knew a lot of suppliers. I said to a lot of them (cake, florist etc…) Do what you want! I trusted them. The flowers are quite boho, big bouquet, pampas grass on the arches. I love thistles so wanted them incorporated.
The tables I did have a specific vision for those and planned that with the prop company. You will notice I have fish table numbers and a table plan, my husband (still weird saying that) is a fisherman!
I love festoon lighting and I feel like its simplistic but beautiful, effective and transformed the barn.
Also I loved the idea of a few lanterns and ribbons in the trees but it really transformed the woodland area!

We chose the venue as my partner used to be an electrician and he helped convert the barn. He always wanted to get married there.
Unfortunately for him I go to a lot of weddings, I would return home from work with a new idea and at one point he said right thats it no more weddings haha. Unfortunately for him I’m paid to go to them. I had so much inspiration!
As I said the process was quite easy I chose suppliers I knew and loved!
Georgia my photographer was the first thing I booked. She has become a friend and I’m so glad I chose her.

Our budget was £15,000 but we spent £20,000, whoopsie.
