Welcoming Carly and Gareth with their stunning Tower Hill Barns wedding in Wales today! Their day was filled to the very brim with emotion, meaningful music and elegant styling, it was absolutely beautiful.
They were wed on a gorgeous Spring day with golden sun shining portraits in the countryside and lush florals. From the sage green colour scheme to the totally perfect outfits and personal touches, you’ll love their celebrations. I love how they wove together their heritage, as well as their lovely sparkler exit come evening. Wow.
Thanks ever so much to Tom Wyatt for kindly sharing these incredible captures of one very special day indeed.

August 29th 2021 – we had just brought our first house together and made the big move to a whole other town! We were in love with our house but had to do a bit of long-distance whilst I was finishing off my job contract in Derby, Gareth had already started his new one in Shrewsbury.
We had been with family the night before and I was a bit hungover the next day, I wish I had an inkling it was happening and I would have properly taken it easy with the Proseccos. We went to look at the house and the hallway was scattered with rose petals leading to the kitchen where the ring and champagne stood. Our song was playing in the background.

For us, it was really about involving our family and making it as personal as possible. And for our guests to have an amazing time. Gareth is Welsh and proud – so we wanted a beautiful Welsh venue in the countryside. We wanted nothing but good vibes, love and joy on the day!
I am also from Bermuda, a beautiful tropical island so we made sure we had Bermuda traditions and touches too. For example, our seating plan was beaches of Bermuda and each table had a picture of me and Gareth on a beach in Bermuda when we went to visit the year prior. For us, it was the little things like that which made our wedding amazing.
30k – wow weddings are expensive!

Music is such a special thing in my family. My dad is a Musician and has been all his life. He had pre-recorded a version of Everglow by Coldplay which was played as my aisle song. He also played during the drinks reception and played the piano for our first dance.
Our first dance was the song ‘Rainbow’ by Kacey Musgraves, we had gone to see her in concert and always knew that was our song. What made it better was it being sung by a close friend of ours. Her name is Elen and she was taught to sing as a little girl by Gareth’s late grandmother which was such a special touch. Kacey Musgraves the original singer also played it for her grandmother before her passing apparently, so it was dedicated to our 3 grandmothers in heaven and one on earth who we love dearly. As you can imagine, there was not ONE dry eye in sight.
Once this was finished the 6 piece band Railroad Kin kicked off the party. They were amazing and very talented musicians.

Gareth’s suit was from Peter Posh, my dress was from Brides of Chester.
I wore my mum’s necklace that she wore on her wedding day – this was old and borrowed! It felt very special to wear. Gareth also borrowed a Rolex from his cousin for a bit of bling and had a pocket watch from my parents that said welcome to the family. My earrings were from a little jewellers in Shrewsbury that my mum got him to compliment the necklace.
My dad also rocked some traditional Bermuda wedding wear – Bermuda shorts and long dress socks. Staying true to the roots!

The cake had handmade hibiscus flowers which is a common flower in Bermuda, semi-naked cake with 3 flavours – gorgeous AND delicious. My amazing friend Jo Loake did the flowers for my STUNNING bouquets and also the 8 bridesmaids too.
The dressing of the venue was hanging wisteria and eucalyptus.

A wonderful week in Santorini.
My bridesmaid and dad performed the song ‘Say A Little Prayer’ inspired by a scene in my favourite film – My Best Friend’s Wedding.

Be as mindful as you can. It goes by in a flash, think to yourself with every moment ‘wow this is for us, how grateful can I be, how lucky are we to be here and have this moment’. Look around and take it all in wherever and whenever you can.

What an incredible day! Sensational.
Carly and Gareth, I can’t thank you enough for sharing with us your very special Tower Hill Barns wedding story.
