A van life wedding inspiration shoot, does it get any better than this?! I think not.
If you are thinking of an elopement, why not take a cool camper? Make a real road trip out of it and have a stylish picnic, as created by the team featured today. Sarah Taylor Photo & Film captured these glorious images and also was behind the boho concept. Think macrame, moon stationery, gorgeous attire and fantastic styling to name just a few. I defy you not to want to run away right now to get hitched in the Peaks. Wow.

I named this shoot Love In The Peaks. I wanted to create some inspiration for couples to take matters into their own hands after such a long time of disappointing circumstances affecting their original plans. I wanted to let them see that they can create their own adventure when planning their wedding or elopement and that the UK has some epic locations to do this in – in this case the Peak District near Mam Tor.
Just as we see in other countries, we too can follow the adventurous elopement trend of skipping the stress and jumping right into celebrating your relationship. No rules or expectations, just you two or maybe in the company of your nearest and dearest. Where would you go? What would you do? The sky really is the limit when it comes to elopements, whether that be up a mountain, on the beach or in the snow.

This couple fitted perfectly with the boho concept I had in mind, they live the ultimate van life and have converted a unique van full of personality. The dreamy cosy interior is full of exquisite details with plants, fairy lights, and wooden accents complete with a woodland vibe archway they created with fallen branches. Their love and lifestyle were the inspiration for this shoot of celebrating a more wild and free love on their own terms, fully unique to them.

We created a rustic, boho lounge setting in front of their van for the lifestyle shots, wedding mornings don’t need to be all stress and rushing around, again with elopements you can make your own rules! Aaron and Laura spent time relaxing, singing and having fun together before they changed into their wedding attire.
Suzy at Mave Weddings did an excellent job with the styling of fabrics, plants and tableware, this was perfectly completed with Dittany Entwined’s beautiful wild florals full of texture, a mix of fresh and dried flowers with eucalyptus. The two differing looks of the bride’s flower crown and celestial crown shows how you can create a boho vibe in different ways.

We hiked up Winnats Pass for the vow exchange which offered a gorgeous view of the valley and is a perfect spot for a personal, authentic ceremony for the free spirited adventure couples.
In the midst of this pandemic and with so many cancellations and disappointment, I was inspired to bring weddings back to what is the most important, the connection between the two of you. Key moments of this shoot for me were the shots of them running and dancing on the broken road of Mam Tor, which really did reflect the theme of finding new paths and new opportunities in the broken original ones. Hopefully this will provide couples with the inspiration to bring their dream elopement to life.
