It really is a hard time right now for so many people and my heart really does go out to everyone suffering due to the COVID19 pandemic. With lockdown in the UK being in place since March now, so so many 2020 couples’ weddings have been postponed or dramatically changed, sad times indeed.
But I am keen to help you see the brighter side of things and I thought I’d round up some fun ideas and items you can buy to cheer yourself up if you are one of the 2020 couples that have had to alter your wedding plans. Plus mark the occasion and continue the wedding celebrations during lockdown.
Here are a selection of my top lockdown wedding gifts and lockdown wedding celebration ideas, you can find all of my favourites over on Etsy here. Please do browse to your hearts content, below you can find some of my top suggestions and ideas as well as products from brilliant sellers, predominantly based here in the UK.
If your hen or stag do has been called off or postponed, there are still ways to celebrate and mark the occasion. It goes without saying that there is no reason why you can’t rearrange your hen or stag celebrations, whether you hold them before your wedding or after your wedding date.
Everyone is going to be desperate to party and celebrate once the pandemic is over and parties/weddings/events are deemed to be safe again. But whilst you wait you can still come together with your besties to host some fun.
Here in the UK you can now have small gatherings of up to 6 people outdoors, so you could host a mini socially distanced garden party, afternoon tea, picnic or BBQ. I think we are all up to speed with using Zoom/Skype calls now and you could certainly host a virtual hen or stag party. Be as creative as you can with fun ideas, games and challenges for your virtual guests.
Go all out with a hashtag for your social media and kit out your guests, you can always use these fab touches again when your real party comes round.
