Winter Alpine Inspired Christmas Wedding

It may be fast approaching Summer but I know many of you will be busy planning your winter wedding extravaganzas. So this delightful wedding will be sure to fill you with ideas today.

After a very wintry proposal… hello igloo under the Northern Lights. WWW readers James and Jessica plumped for a festive celebration held on Saturday 19^th December 2015. Alpine Winter was the vision and sweet rustic and natural DIY details were added throughout. Kraft paper, hessian, pine cones, twine and wool were all used to brilliant effect.

Jessica wore a sweet lace and bow belted gown with classic veil while James was suited and booted in Paul Smith. Glorious.

THE PROPOSAL |  Christmas 2014, Levi, Kittilä, Finland. Proposal – waist deep in snow, outside our igloo, -25°c under the Northern Lights.

THE VISION |   Alpine Winter with a sprinkle of Christmas.

THE PLANNING PROCESS |   The first month after the proposal – Booked the Venue first, then dress, then registrar, then photographer, then honeymoon. Wait 6 months, then everything else right up to the night before the wedding.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | After getting engaged, get married within one year.
