This month, we’re capturing those fun, cute, and silly faces, as well as the adorable moments of children at weddings.

Dancing like a ballerina
Photo by Andrei Dumitrache – Documentary Wedding Photographer – This is one of my favourite pictures ever. At the start of a fantastic wedding party, this little ballerina danced in front of the bride. It was such a memorable moment, and I’m sure it will never be forgotten.

Say hello to the bride!
Photo by Andrei Dumitrache – Documentary Wedding Photographer – I captured this photo during the religious ceremony when I noticed the interaction between the bride and the little bridesmaid. I just love it! 🙂

camerachild
Photo by Jordi Tudela – Megan and Luke, an English couple, chose a destination wedding in Spain, specifically in the enchanting location of Mas Torroella. During their first dance, a little boy saw other children taking photos with cameras and decided he didn’t want to miss out. The result is this heartwarming photo of the little one capturing a tender moment with the bride.

I’m The Queen Of This Castle
Photo by Browns Photography Ltd./Jonathan Brown – This young lady began the day as one of the shyest flower girls I’ve ever encountered, clearly overwhelmed by the occasion and clinging tightly to her mum and dad. When her dad produced her favourite toy, a small fluffy stuffed rabbit, I borrowed it to help coax her into some photos with the bride and bridesmaids. Shortly after, while I was taking some general shots of the wedding and setting up a shot of the castle, she suddenly appeared in front of me. With a playful throw of the rabbit in my direction, she struck a pose. Clearly, she wasn’t so shy after all!

Hugs for my uncle
Photo by Winston Sanders Photography – This photo was taken at One Whitehall Place in London and features an adorably cute kid who clearly adores his uncle, the groom.

fun fun fun in the sun !!!
Photo by Alexa Poppe Wedding Photography – This picture was taken on a beautiful sunny day at Lusty Glaze Beach in Cornwall. Both kids and adults had so much fun playing in the shore break of the incoming tide. I love the look of pure joy on their faces!

No champagne for me
Photo by Still Miracle London Photography – Bella asked her mum (the bride) if she could have some lemonade. The result is captured in this photo.

Covering the photographer
Photo by Still Miracle London Photography – This boy kept photo-hunting me throughout the wedding day, once he realised I wouldn’t be in the wedding photos.

Imagination
Photo by Benjamin Stuart Photography – Sometimes, speeches can be a bit dull for the children at weddings. To keep his nephew entertained and spark his imagination, the groom gave him a toy plane as a present. The mind of a child is so captivating; we all could benefit from embracing that childlike wonder from time to time.

Kiss the Bride
Photo by Damion Mower Photography – This is Ely, looking quite miffed at all the fuss over Mum and Dad.

Kids all around
Photo by Nabis Photographers / Chiara Ridolfi – The bride, Emily, was surrounded by all the flower girls and boys when the littlest girl stopped her and began checking her make-up!

The magic hug
Photo by Nabis Photographers/ Chiara Ridolfi – The bride was doing her getting in ready but he didn’t want to stay far away from her….!

The Shy Flower Girl
Photo by Laura Grace Photography – Taken at the Little Chapel at Orchardleigh House Estate on a freezing cold day, this beautiful flower girl nervously examines her flowers before the ceremony begins.

Untitled
Photo by Cassandra Lane – I love this baby’s expression as her uncle blows her hair out of her face! Taken at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester.

First Kiss
Photo by Kelsie Low Photography – This was one of those little moments where you photograph something and then look back at your camera in disbelief at what you’ve captured… Such a cute, fleeting moment between two mini lovebirds.

Superman
Photo by Liam Carroll // ZT Photography – Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a little one having a blast! Taken at Oddfellows Chester, Cheshire.

Canapes
Photo by Alexis Jaworski – I love this image of two children during the drinks reception. The expressions on their faces are simply wonderful.

playing with shadows
Photo by The Gibsons Photography – I saw these pockets of light and waited for the perfect moment to capture them. We love photographing children at weddings in a unique and creative way.

Bored Kid
Photo by Alessandro Della Savia – After a long wedding day…

Something to pass the time
Photo by Sam Gibson Photography – This was taken at the stunning Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire. During the speeches, I captured this candid moment. I always keep an eye out for those unscripted moments, and this little girl, perhaps a bit bored as the adults chatted away, perfectly embodies that spontaneous charm.

Boredom at weddings
Photo by Ashdown Wedding Photography – I was photographing a wedding at The Mill in Elstead, right after the ceremony. While capturing people enjoying the sunshine and drinks reception, I spotted this page boy deep in thought. I love how children have no inhibitions and don’t conform to the day’s formalities!

The quiet choir
Photo by John Hope Photography – In this instance the picture really does say it all. The sort of ‘seen moment’ that makes this job so damn satisfying :o)

Am I too cute?
Photo by Ap-Art Photography / Pete – Mummy and Daddy are getting married today, so I’ll just be the cutest little girl ever! This photograph was taken at Swarling Manor in the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It’s not always the obvious things that take precedence at a wedding …
Photo by Christian Allen Photography – You can’t get a less staged shot than the bride breaking away from her wedding to feed a very important little person of hers! (Taken at Silverholme Manor, Cumbria.)

Page Boy Tantrum
Photo by Stylish Wedding Photography – Carol Tansley – Shot during groom prep, this is the groom’s young son. He clearly doesn’t want to get dressed for the wedding and is throwing a bit of a tantrum. I love how his dad is just laughing at it all and continues to dress him.

A little Elf
Photo by Amy B Photography – A Christmas wedding… there was only one outfit choice for this little fella. The cutest wedding guest you ever did see!

Sleepy Angel
Photo by SAMANTHA PENNINI – Ring-bearing is so hard, I’m taking a nap!

Here comes the flower girl
Photo by Doville Gail Photography – This picture was taken when the bride arrived at the church. Everyone was laughing as the flower girls made funny faces and licked the window.

Love between Mother & Son
Photo by Pure Photo N.I – A while back, we photographed the wedding of Aileen and James. During the ceremony, their little son, David, couldn’t resist interrupting to speak to his mum.

It’s almost wedding time!
Photo by Rhiannon Neale Photography – This photo was taken during bridal prep at the bride’s mother and father-in-law’s farm in Falkirk, Scotland, where she was getting ready. Their daughter, who was four at the time, was absolutely thrilled to be part of the day. Her entire face lit up like this when she saw her mum in her wedding dress. There was a palpable buzz all morning, and this was the moment when it all reached its peak!

C’Mon

waiting time
Photo by Stella Kurek Photography – The boy is watching his dad in the venue car park, while the girl is simply there to look after him.

‘Daddy, here comes Mummy’
Photo by David Glover – Taken by my assistant Jack at a recent wedding at Stoke Rochford Hall, I love the anticipation on Arrabella’s face—such innocence in its purest form. I also appreciate how images like this highlight the importance of second shooters at weddings. Moments like this are to be treasured forever, not missed.

Watching and waiting.
Photo by Paul Fletcher Photography – This image is from a lovely wedding at Buxted Park. I walked back into the bride’s preparations and found the flower girls hovering by the window, unaware of my presence. I managed to capture a few atmospheric shots of the two of them watching for the guests.

You Don’t Love Me Anymore
Photo by S2 Images – While Riddhi and Anish were exchanging their vows, Riddhi’s nephew began to sob uncontrollably. He thought that Riddhi no longer loved him now that she was getting married. This heart-wrenching moment brought everyone in the room to tears.

Swing
Photo by Dale Weeks Photography – Taken on private farmland in Sussex, this photo captures a moment during the wedding when the kids were getting a bit bored of sitting through the meal and speeches. These boys were having the most fun outside.

Mum in dress first look
Photo by Art by Design Photography / Steve Wheller – This photo was taken during bridal preparations. Mum had just put on her dress, and I captured her daughter with a wonderful expression of ‘Wow’ on her face.

‘Ave it Donkey!!
Photo by Nick Brightman Photography – What can I say, wedding pinata, it should be compulsory!!
This was a wedding at the amazing Matara Centre in the Cotswolds. Alongside many other wonderful activities such as a treasure hunt, a tree dedication ceremony, and a first dance flashmob, they also had a piñata for everyone to enjoy—both big kids and small kids alike.

star of the show
Photo by Fiona Walsh Photography – What’s more enticing to a child than an empty dance floor at a wedding? It’s wonderful to watch them play and move so freely, enjoying themselves with such abandon.

Walk and play
Photo by Rob Sanderson Photography – I noticed these children playing next to a busy doorway and decided to try and combine both parts of the room in one shot.
