Bright Wedding Photo Collection
Wedding photos don’t always need to be black and white.

Urban Colours
Photo by Liam Carroll // ZT Photography – City Weddings <3 // Manchester // UK

The Money Shot
Photo by Damion Mower Photography – I second-shot this wedding for a friend; it was so full of vibrancy and colour. The amount of dollar bills flying around the dance floor was staggering!

Lynsey and Ricky
Photo by Alexa Poppe Wedding Photography – Lynsey and Ricky tied the knot at Lower Barns in Cornwall. One of my favourite venues here, this boutique bed and breakfast, with its colourful, eclectic South American style, offers plenty of backdrops, like this stylish gypsy wagon.

Stacey & Tyler
Photo by Jasmin & Matt Photography / Jasmin Pichlyk – The blend of the Caribbean Sea and the garden ceremony setup was exactly what Stacey and Tyler had hoped for when tying the knot at Azul Fives in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Nidhi & Nikhil
Photo by Jasmin & Matt Photography / Matt Mathieson – Nidhi and Nikhil celebrated their beautiful traditional Indian wedding at Generations Riviera Cancun and El Dorado Royal, surrounded by family and friends from every corner of the globe.

Emerald dress for the silver anniversary
Photo by ANASTASIOS AGGELOU – This couple travelled all the way from the Philippines to celebrate their silver anniversary in the romantic destination of Santorini. The stunning emerald green dress the bride chose added a grand effect to the photos. As beautiful as on their wedding day, 25 years later, the couple still radiates love and affection. Cheers to many more!

The Celebration
Photo by My Love Momentz/Ivan Lim – The celebration after the ceremony was complete. In a traditional Chinese wedding, this couple had already gone through a long day with gate-crashing, praying, and the tea ceremony, which easily lasted 6 hours. Once everything was finished, the couple changed into comfortable red slippers, lay down on the bed, and shared a kiss. After the kissing shot, I had to leave the room!

Secret Garden Lover
Photo by My Love Momentz/Ivan Lim – This photo was taken in Penang, Malaysia. They had put up a lot of LEDs high in the trees, transforming the area into a colourful garden as night fell. This was photographed during a pre-wedding session.

The Surprise Sunset
Photo by Amy Faith Photographer – Katie and Peter planned their wedding for what should have been a summer August day. However, as we know, we can’t always rely on the British summer to guarantee sunshine. They smiled their way through a cool and windy confetti throw and family portraits at the church, spent their reception drinks inside while the clouds covered the sky, and danced between the trees during their couple portraits, ready to take cover beneath the canopy if it started to rain. Thankfully, it held off. I watched the sky and waited with bated breath for any chance of a sunset. Katie and Peter were one of those couples who were up for anything and seemed to quite enjoy being made to feel amazing during their portrait time. Thankfully, their willingness to clamber over brambles into a field and my incessant wishing paid off—just as the sun dipped beneath the cloud layer, we got 10 minutes of glorious sunset, turning the sky pink and purple like I’d never seen it before. Moral of the story: listen to your photographer!

The Sk8 Park
Photo by Amy Faith Photography – Hannah and Jay are Scousers, born and bred, having met in art class when they were just 14. They now live and work in Sweden, with Hannah as a designer for H&M and Jay as an architect. From the moment they enquired, I knew their wedding was going to be special. Favouring my style of city photography, they chose me to capture the urban landscape of Liverpool during their portrait session, which lasted for 2 hours before the ceremony. I was in city wedding photography heaven!
The skate park in the famous Baltic Triangle area was being worked on as we passed it, with builders everywhere. I suggested we pop inside to use the colourful graffiti backdrop for one of their portraits, making sure to include some of the rubble and a wheel from one of the builders’ bikes. I’m so glad we did, as the wall has since been painted over with a huge Netflix mural. It offers a glimpse into what a cool area it was before more large corporations took hold.

Colourful windows
Photo by Paul Fletcher Photography – This photo was taken in the Meeting House on the Sussex University campus. It was essential to capture plenty of images showcasing the beautiful and intricate stained glass windows. This particular photo is a favourite, capturing the moments before the ceremony and highlighting the vibrant colours.

Love and the sun
Photo by Roney Rufino – We climbed a large mountain, renowned for extreme sports, known as the TOP OF THE WORLD. The cold winter dusk made everyone very chilly, but it was wonderful to witness the couple’s love, which felt much warmer than the sun!

Tequila Time
Photo by Liam Carroll // ZT Photography – Fun wedding times…taken in Cheshire, UK.

Sunset colours
Photo by inimmagine di Roberto Schiumerini – The colours of this sunset surround the married couple, adding to the magical atmosphere.

Beauty at the beach
Photo by once upon a wedding photography – This shot was taken with the mist rolling in, yet the blue skies remained strong. The colour of the beautiful dress is striking.

Groom colours
Photo by once upon a wedding photography – I love the colours of this beach Thai takeaway shack and thought the groomsmen would look great against that backdrop.

The Boys
Photo by J S Coates Wedding Photography – Taken at the beautiful Cowley Manor and featuring the wonderful Jonathan and Kurtis, we had spent some time exploring the glorious green gardens this venue had to offer. I stumbled across an old-looking shack with a red door that I thought would complement their buttonholes and break up the green backdrops we had been using. To add a splash more colour, I used a CD (remember those?) to catch the sun, creating a beautiful rainbow effect that perfectly enhanced the photo.

Cinecittà studios!
Photo by Nabis Photographers/Chiara Ridolfi – Annie got married at a synagogue in Rome in the morning. We then took some photos in the city centre, and in the evening, they organised a marvellous wedding party at the Cinecittà studios, specifically on the set of Ancient Rome.

The entrance
Photo by Stefano Ferrier – I always love those moments before the bride walks down the aisle. Here, I aimed to capture that moment, highlighting the harmony of colours and the beautiful background.

The first dance
Photo by Stefano Ferrier – I was in Northern Italy at a wedding in an ancient monastery. As the first dance was starting, I noticed the beautiful play of lights and quickly asked the DJ to aim them directly in front of me. Little did I know it would result in such a stunning effect.

Shutter Love
Photo by Hayley Pettit Photography & Film – I took this while shooting my first destination wedding in the South of France a couple of years ago.
It was on a small beach near Perpignan, and as September was coming to an end, so was the idyllic beach wedding weather. We were all a bit concerned as the skies darkened and the wind caused chaos (think mini beach sandstorm!). However, as soon as I arrived at the little beach hut café where the reception was to be held, I forgot all about the weather and quickly fell in love with the place!
The entire hut was built using colourful, upcycled wooden shutters, which I later discovered are taken down at the end of each season and rebuilt in the spring. This was the last week they were up before being packed away for winter. The skies cleared just in time for the ceremony, only to darken again shortly after. These lush, vibrant colours provided a beautiful backdrop for some of the bride and groom’s portraits.

Coloured confetti
Photo by Albert Palmer Photography – Taken outside a village church in rural Oxfordshire, Alice and Darioush exit the church to be greeted by a storm of coloured confetti. This is one of my favourites from their wedding, though it took them a while to get all the confetti off afterwards!

Infrared Love
Photo by Eye of the Tyne Photography – Infrared LOVE. Inspired by the now discontinued Kodak Infrared film, originally developed by the U.S. Army for aerial reconnaissance in the 1940s, I spent weeks experimenting with various infrared filters to master this photography technique. I wanted to incorporate it into my wedding work, and I’ve been blown away by the results!

Colourful Carousel
Photo by Sam & Louise Photography – Using colour isn’t something that has to be reserved for the daytime. We captured this vibrant carousel shot after dark at Ashley and Jon’s wedding, which took place at Pynes House in Devon. They chose a funfair theme for the day, so there was an abundance of colour at every turn. We wanted to show that nighttime doesn’t have to be dull and dark.

In Bloom
Photo by Sam & Louise Photography – We love using colour in our work and make a point of capturing the atmosphere and feel of a wedding day. A significant part of most couples’ plans is influenced by the season or time of year. Lucy and James were blessed with a bright spring day when the blossom was in full bloom, so naturally, we used it as a key feature in their photos!

Pizza Is Life
Photo by Zo Taylor / ZT Photography – Rach and Tony’s super-duper Manchester wedding // UK

Cake Cutting
Photo by S.R.Urwin Wedding Photography – This was the cake-cutting ceremony at the wedding of Bhabana and Dale. After a church ceremony in Oxford, the couple had their wedding breakfast at Milton Hill House, a grand Georgian venue set in 22 acres of parkland. Uplighters had been used, and the room was bathed in bright violet light, which allowed me to capture these vibrant images.

Flower girls
Photo by office@vonleart.com – This was the lovely wedding day of Yoana and Dimitar, which took place in May 2019 in Varna, Bulgaria. The little flower girls gathered together just before the church ceremony at Varna Cathedral.

Wedding Traditions in Bulgaria
Photo by Vonlè Art – This was the lovely wedding day of Radina and Viktor, which took place in June 2018 in Medovo village, Bulgaria. Guests were dancing the traditional Bulgarian folklore circle dance called “horo,” renowned for its distinctive rhythm and brightly coloured dresses.

Sunset in Capri
Photo by TONOLINI NICOLA – A perfect sunset on Capri Island, captured after the ceremony at a private villa in Anacapri.

Beauty
Photo by Nicola Tonolini – The bride is ready!
From Helena and Vivek’s wedding in Tuscany, with the bride getting ready at Castello di Casole.

Blooms of Colour
Photo by Fiona Walsh Photography – I love to edit in bright and bold colours to reflect the love and celebration of the wedding. Life is bursting with love all around us, and I aim to showcase that in my work. Be inspired by the beauty around you—it’s there.

Finishing touches
Photo by Mr Sleeve – Sarah, the bride, is seen here making the last few tiny adjustments to her stunning traditional Bengali wedding outfit. The colours throughout the wedding were incredible, from the paint-throwing at the Gaye Holud to the fresh flowers that decorated the family home and garden, which were used for the events. This photo was taken in one of the bedrooms of the family’s Cheshire home, just minutes before Sarah was revealed to the family and friends waiting for her in the garden.

Destination Cherry Blossom Engagement
Photo by Lisa Lander Photographhy – Janessa and Cameron are both teachers who live about 4 hours apart. I was hired to photograph their destination wedding and had the opportunity to capture their engagement session during the Cherry Blossom season in Vancouver, Canada, this spring. Cameron makes Janessa laugh, and her smile is infectious. They are wonderfully vibrant in personality, and their outfits perfectly reflect that. His complements hers beautifully, with both being wonderfully colourful.

Daisy + Ben
Photo by Hannah Hall Photography – It rained a lot on Daisy and Ben’s wedding day, but the colours of the umbrellas and guest outfits, combined with Daisy’s outrageously wonderful and vibrant floral crown and bouquet, prove that wet weddings definitely don’t have to look as dull as the weather!

Sikh the light!
Photo by Matt Selby photography – BTS from a Sikh temple silhouette. All it took was a single flash, a small reflector, and a mirror I found in a pantry.

Eldorado kiss
Photo by Magia Obrazu – Everything was perfect in that moment—full of love, vibrant colours, and a romantic atmosphere. Beautiful newlyweds Basia and Alex, a colourful sunset above the mountains, and even a stylish Cadillac—what a perfect match.

Sunrise smile
Photo by Magia Obrazu – We woke up in the middle of the night to be ready for the sunrise session with its beautiful golden colours. Even in the early morning, Kasia and Łukasz were so energetic, cheerful, and beautifully in love.

Sian + James
Photo by Hannah Hall Photography – Sian and James married at Cranford Hall in a gorgeous sailcloth tent. Their band, Tru Groove, was fantastic and kept the dancefloor full all night. This image isn’t from their first dance but a bit later in the evening—it almost looks like a couples’ dance-off! I love dance floor photos when the band or DJ lights up the space with colours, and Tru Groove did it perfectly.

Having your cake and eating it
Photo by Hana Laurie Alternative Wedding Photographer – Cake shots can often be dull, static, and formal, but Emma and Pete, along with me, decided to get right into it. Our eagerness to dig in was palpable! The whole wedding was a riot of rainbow colours with amazing lanterns and flowers, and the super bright teapot cake was a perfect match.

Red is For Love
Photo by Fiona Walsh Photography – This shot blew us away when we looked at the back of the camera. It all worked spectacularly. I remember it being the first one of the season and the last photo of the day. I absolutely adored being with my couple, who felt like friends. We had such a laugh capturing it, with a little help from the groom’s friend.
