I know just how important it is to find that perfect everlasting symbol of you marriage. I took what felt like forever to find my band, which represented both me and my style.
This is exactly why I love Celtic Wedding Rings and their unique designs. They feel special and different. Their intricate designs and vibrant gems really show personality. Yet they are authentic in design and high in quality. I am thrilled to be speaking with Michael Wheeler today…
I love the idea that there are thousands of happy couples out there, wearing wedding rings we crafted for them that represent their happiness together. It’s a nice thought. As for dislikes, I would say my only dislike is the fact I don’t spend as much time in the craftshop as I used to. I miss my tools.
I was the first of my family to join the jewelry industry. I began as an apprentice in a craftshop in County Offaly some 35 years ago. Once I had gained enough experience I went out on my own. I always enjoyed crafting wedding and engagement rings as they seemed more significant than other jewelry – so this became my main focus.
With my crafting days behind me, my usual working day consists of meetings. The majority of which are with the product development team – in an attempt to keep a fresh line of products available. When the opportunity arises, I enjoy taking a walk around the craftshop – the banter is always lively.
Photographer, I’ve always been keen on photography. Being able to capture special moments on such an important day, that seems like something I would enjoy.
We offer our customers handcrafted, unique wedding rings made in Ireland. Using ancient Celtic designs as inspiration, we design rings that celebrate our Celtic heritage. Quality is of course paramount and that’s why all our wedding and engagement rings come with a life time warranty.
Authentic Celtic Design
Every wedding and engagement ring we craft is handmade to order. As part of this process, the ring is sent to the Dublin Assays Office (a Government run agency) to be tested and hallmarked. This hallmark on the inside of the band is your mark of quality and authenticity. Therefore it can take up to three weeks to craft, hallmark and ship our products, but we believe quality is worth waiting for.
Order early! So many couples leave it until the last minute, then they run the risk of the rings not being crafted in time. If the sizing is not correct then they may not have time to get them resized. Always order two or three months in advance, to ensure everything goes according to plan.
We have noticed recently a shift towards coloured gemstones such as sapphires, rubies and emeralds as opposed to diamonds for engagement rings.
We are constantly adding new rings to each of our categories, but we are currently working on adding new categories but you’ll just have to come back to our website to find out what they are.
