This week sees us travelling to The Fields at Willie Greens in Washington for the happy celebration of Abby and Jake. They got married on August 14th 2016 and their day was full of big smiles, hugs, sunshine and of course, love.
Both the bride and groom were dressed to perfection, as were their bridal party. Abby wore a stunning lace and tulle bridal gown with a grey sash, while her girls were decked out in lovely shades of grey and blue. They held bright fresh bouquets in shades of orange, red and yellow. Jake wore a stylish navy blue suit and vest and his groomsmen wore white shirts, assorted grey ties and brown suspenders.
The reception was held in a gorgeous marquee amongst the grass, leafy vegetables and tall trees of the farm – what a down-to-earth and relaxing setting that must have been. Guests ate fresh sandwiches and salads and dessert was assorted yummy pies. I loved that the newlyweds played the ‘shoe game’ too – a hilarious question and answer game where the answer is either the bride or the groom. If the bride holds up her own shoe, her answer is ‘bride’, and if she holds up the groom’s shoe, her answer is ‘groom’. It was one of my favourite parts of our own German wedding!
Thank you so much to Katie Day Photos for sharing these lovely images.

Complete joy was the overall takeaway from this wedding; the Pacific North West couple chose an organic farm as their venue, something that they both care about. This wedding acknowledged what it looks like to put another person first, even if it means work. The group that surrounded Jake and Abby was one that spoke with care and celebrated with delight (…and homegrown sandwiches, holla’ at that turkey-bacon-avocado). The bride and groom couldn’t stop smiling, and everything about the day left guests beaming from ear to ear as well.

Abby and Jake, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful wedding with us. I think the photo of Abby punching the air with delight after the ceremony pretty much sums up the awesome day you shared. Congratulations. (Another) Abby xx
