A very warm welcome to WWW readers Poppy and Tim today who are sharing their tipi farm wedding in Essex. They were wed on the 4th October 2019 in a church ceremony followed by a tipi reception at their family farm. It was all so magical.
They had a seasonal Autumn theme with rich burgundy tones, with the styling featuring greenery, opulent flowers, fruit and pumpkins. Not to mention twinkling fairy lights, beautiful attire and a sumptuous cake. I have a funny feeling you’re going to totally fall for this joy-filled celebration.
The Edge Photography, thanks ever so much for sharing your amazing images with us.

Tim proposed whilst on a dog walk on a part of the farm on the spot that he realised he wanted to marry me! I would’ve hated a public proposal so it was perfect.
I wanted to have a wedding that was relaxed and magical. Hayley (from Starry Eyed) was amazing as I didn’t have much of a plan. All I knew Is I wanted it to be beautiful and have lots of fairy lights and some pumpkins! What Hayley created was beyond our wildest dreams it was perfect.
The reception was held in a tipi at the family farm in Upshire and the ceremony was in the local church.

Church of St Thomas, Upshire, Essex.
Our photographer for the day was Scott from The Edge Photography. He was brilliant and made us feel completely at ease. I don’t like having my photograph taken so I was really worried about getting nice pictures but they’re beautiful and I still look back at them in wonder!

My dress was from Confetti and Lace. It was my first dress fitting and I had just had my little girl when I went to try dresses on for the first time so wasn’t back to my normal shape. I tried lots of styles on and was slightly losing hope as all the styles I thought I would want I didn’t find very flattering. However as soon as they brought it the Maggie Soterro – Emma I instantly knew it was perfect. It’s a light gold colour and has a very warm feeling to it. I wore it with a matching cathedral length veil.
My jewellery was from a dear friend of Tim’s, who happens to be an amazing jeweller Kendrick & Sons. He designed my engagement ring as well as our wedding rings and then very kindly lent me the gorgeous bracelet as my something borrowed. My wedding day gift was also a set of gorgeous earrings and necklace.
Tim and his groomsmen went to the local Tailors “Coles” in Epping and got their suits fitted. They went for a blue suit with a tweed waistcoat as they wanted something they could all wear again.. very practical!
I had a nightmare with the hair and makeup as they cancelled the night before! But luckily Hayley was again amazing and a lifesaver and gave me the contact details of the fantastic hairstylist Laura who did an amazing job and was a million times better than my original hairstylist so luckily it all worked out. Laura also managed to find a makeup artist (can’t remember her name) who was equally amazing and made us all feel fantastic.
Bridesmaids looked beautiful in their burgundy dresses from the online store.

Details and decor – Hayley from Starry Eyed sorted it all. It was incredible. She took the stress out of everything. Nearly two years later I still get people telling me how beautiful it all looked. There was nothing about it I’d have changed.
The cake was made by my maid of honour Charly and one of my bridesmaids Sam. Luckily they’re both amazing bakers and stayed up the night before making it! It had a carrot cake layer and a pound cake layer. The lovely girls at Gather and Feast who did the catering decorated it for me and added some flowers from Louise at the Botanical Shed.

The honeymoon – we went for a month-long holiday in New Zealand and travelled around the North and South Island with our little girl who was 15months at the time. It was the trip of a lifetime and I’ll treasure the memories forever.
