Get ready to be blown away by this stunning Somerset elopement inspiration. You won’t believe that this coastal waterfall location is right here in the UK. It provided a magical backdrop for this editorial shoot brought to us by Charlie Britz Photography.
First up, I adore the cool and modern outfits. The bride wears a beaded gown with a denim jacket and flower-adorned fedora, while the groom dons a grey suit and dried flower buttonhole. Then there was the rustic pallet table set up on the beach, with linens billowing in the wind, gorgeous flowers and delicate stationery. Wow!
Be sure to take in every single detail from this stunning Somerset elopement shoot.

Epic elopements during lockdown had us all in awe of the landscape, of the intimacy, and of the power of love.
But when I see the stunning landscapes of Yosemite National Park or sunsets over Marrakesh, I think to myself “What treasures can we find right on our doorstep that are just as awe-inspiring?”.
I wanted to create an ode to an Icelandic waterfall elopement right on our doorstep along the Somerset coast, whilst still being authentic in showing what can be achieved with a small team of amazing vendors and a minimal set-up.
The beach is really secluded, which made it the perfect location for an intimate picnic-style lunch, with wooden platters, delicate linens and gold vases, accompanied by elegant British florals in earthy pinks, lilacs and purples that shone proudly in front of the red-orange rock. The stationery was inspired by the ruggedness of the beach, with glimmers of gold to add a touch of luxury and elegance.

The dress was heavily beaded in shell-like shapes, paired with a belt, denim shearling jacket, hiker boots and fedora with exquisite dried floral band, rounded off with subtle, dewy makeup. I’m a firm believer in bringing your own personality to your wedding day, however big or small, so when it comes to accessorising yourself on your big day, there are so many ways you can make your outfit more “you”.
And did you even elope if your dress wasn’t completely wrecked by sand, mud and the sea?
