We’re off to beautiful Italy for the vineyard wedding of Elisa and Emanuele. Their day was a total boho dream; scenic views, pampas grass, sunsets and stunning fairy-lit reception.
Most of all though, I must confess, I adore the outfits. Elisa wore the most spectacular red wedding dress and Emanuele donned a dapper black three-piece suit. Didn’t they look incredible!?
I shall leave you with these dreamy and beautiful images by Claudia Santi Photography, what a treat it all is. Thanks to Claudia for sharing these photographs.

Emanuele and I have known each other since we were teenagers, we frequented the same group of friends, we have always been very close.
We have been living together for a few years (together with our two beloved cats) then a year ago, together, we made the decision to crown our relationship with marriage and we asked ourselves about it in the intimacy of our home.
We love nature and its wild harmony, which is why our idea of wedding style was very clear from the beginning, and the boho style is one that most of all could better express our vision.
Informal and contemporary, the boho style was also perfect as a conception for the whole party; free from the usual patterns and suitable for many friends we have.
The colour palette has been oriented on natural shades of terracotta up to shades of orange tones.

When we visited the place and discovered a large tree in the vineyard we were really excited. This was supposed to be the place of the ceremony! We have been hoping for months for a sunny day and so fortunately it was. So hot and sunny that we had to postpone the ceremony for an hour!
Two of our musician friends accompanied throughout the ceremony with folk and 70’s songs. Emanuele entered with the Doors song “come on baby light my fire“. Me with the Pearl Jam song “around the bend”.
We didn’t want posed and unnatural photos, our photographer Claudia Santi managed perfectly not to create stress for us while capturing the most beautiful moments of the day.
She was always very discreet and we were able to experience the whole party with our friends.

We wanted a place where we could celebrate both the ritual and the dinner and we wanted it in a place that could give a sense of freedom, of poetry and a sense of traditions of our land. When we saw this country estate (Tavignao estate, today an important winery) we fell in love with it immediately.
Located on the top of a hill it has a panoramic view of the hills covered by vineyards and olive groves that gently descend to the sea. The feeling it gave us is what we wanted and the positive energy it gave us was unique and unrepeatable.
At the beginning, the choice of my wedding dress had fallen on a white lace dress to recreate the boho style of the wedding, but during the months of lockdown, surfing the internet I came across the image of a red dress.
As soon as it was possible I went to the shop where they saw it and as soon as I tried it I realized that this was my dress. I imagined the red of the sunset as a background, and ripe clusters of red grapes, the ruby red of the wine and I had no doubts, that would be my dress!

Although we had very clear ideas on what the style of our wedding would be, we relied on a wedding design planning studio.
Joli reve has taken care of every stylistic part necessary down to the smallest detail, from the wedding stationery to the stylistic decorations of the ceremony and the tables. For the ceremony, large straw baskets filled with pampas grass and dried flowers, for dinner, long wooden tables with an ivory gauze runner on top, candlesticks and many floral compositions of fresh and dried flowers.
I made by my own some small gifts for the guests; a box printed with the poem my mother-in-law wrote for us with little sweets inside.

Unbeknownst to us, the text of the ceremony was written by our closest friends. And it was really exciting to hear from them the feelings and considerations they addressed to us.
The dinner buffet made between the rows of the vineyard with the light of the sunset that has coloured the sky of fire red.
What we recommend is to create a wedding day with experiences and a personal style, which reflects your way of being and living. All this will allow you to enjoy the most important moment of your life in an extraordinarily magical way.

Elisa and Emanuele thank you so much for sharing your incredible Italy vineyard wedding with us.
