The Redfords met and formed in London 2004. All members are professional musicians.
Matthew the musical director and guitarist started his career at the American Guitar Institute and within 6 months of graduating at 19 was signed to Universal Records. He arena toured America and the UK supporting The Who, Neil Young, Nickelback, Wheatus, and The Wallflowers and has performed with Elton John, Robbie Williams, Holly Valance, Minnie Driver and has played to live audiences in excess of 20,000.

Both lead singers Jim and Catherine have been performing extensively over the past ten years in function, wedding and originals bands.
{w} What do you aim to achieve for your clients?
We hope that clients feel safe in our hands, that nothing is too much trouble. {w} Do you have any tips for couples in selecting bands?
Apart from the obvious things like checking what the price doesn’t include (many won’t include for learning first dance, disco between sets, rider, food & drink, waiting time, early set up, travel, lighting….) … check how often they perform for weddings, will their choice of music be suitable for your eclectic guest list, what do they do in case of sickness, is there equipment of good quality, tested and safe, do they carry insurance, Then having chosen a band that you like the sound of look beyond the facade to the musicians who will be performing in front of you. This group of individuals will be in control of the last 3 or 4 hours of the most important day of your life to date. What sort of people are they?
{w} Do you offer any extra services?
We were aware that at some weddings we were asked to start the dancing quite early on in the evening and in some cases directly after wedding breakfast. This is both too soon and in our opinion a waste of the clients money. At this stage in the proceedings a lot of the evening guest will not have arrived yet alone had time to soak up any atmosphere (or refreshment !!) Those sitting to dine will want to stretch their legs and ming for a while.
{w} How can we get in touch with you?
Best way to contact The redfords is either direct by telephone 07711 432598 (txt if you think we are performing) or by email on info@theredfords.com we normally answer within the hour.
Thanks so much to The Redfords!! Do go and visit their site, and listen to their amazing music. If you make an enquiry be sure to mention {www}. I’ll be back tomorrow with my usual diary entry 😉 enjoy the remainder of your Saturday lovelies xoxo
