Cosy up and settle in for these glowing and cosy Christmas wedding ideas. Here you will find winter wedding inspo with a festive feel, think spruce and greenery decor, pinecones, lots of candles and of course fairy lights. Swoon!
These gorgeous images are brought to us by Mini and Me Photography and are set at Crown Lodge Kent in Kent. They feature a woodland ceremony with a macrame backdrop, a rustic log style wedding cake and beautiful bride and groom looks.
Whether you are looking for ideas for your Christmas table at home or your festive wedding, you are in for a treat!

Crown Lodge Kent is a gorgeous woodland wedding venue overlooking the Wye Downs in Kent. We wanted to put together a Nordic-inspired December shoot to provide some inspo for any brides with winter weddings – there’s so much out there for summer weddings, we wanted to showcase that winter weddings can have their very own type of magic!
Crown Lodge has a beautiful outdoor ceremony area in a secluded woodland, and cosy log-cabin feel inside – perfect for a Scandi-Nordic vibe.

We managed to put together this shoot in just over three weeks just before yet another Lockdown in December 2020 – all of us were missing real weddings and doing what we do best so much after what was such a crazy year for the industry, it was such a breath of fresh air to at least be able to put together a fake wedding!
(And speaking of fresh air – there always has to be a special shout-out to our beautiful ‘bride’ Dionne for braving the outdoors in a backless short sleeved wedding dress without complaining once, whilst the rest of us had our big coats on!)
After putting together a moodboard of rustic wood, pine and eucalyptus foliage, and frosty forest green and white theme, all of our lovely suppliers got to work.

Louise at East Kent Flower Company put together the most beautiful floral arrangements for the day – including the biggest bouquet I’d ever seen! Along with the 5 foot tall pampas grass and dried flower urns for the ceremony area, they were the perfect statement pieces to finish off the set up provided by Locate to Create for both our tablescapes (who generously provided us with some brand new furniture that had never been seen or used before!) and the vintage rugs, macramé hanging and arch for our outdoor ceremony.

Whilst vintage rugs have been a ceremony trend seen on Pinterest for a while, we discovered a new top tip – for any brides trying for an outdoor ceremony when the weather may be a bit iffy, if it’s a little muddy a vintage rug aisle is perfect for still keeping your dress clean – an added bonus!

Our other statement showcase was of course, the 4–tiered beauty provided by Nicola (The Cake Witch). When I mentioned I’d seen some bark-effect cakes on Pinterest and wondered if she could re-create one for us, she took my idea in full stride and wow, did she deliver! Complete with an ‘engraving’ of our couples initials, the cake was definitely a showstopper and fitted a Scandi Winter woodland wedding vibe down to a T.
She also provided some gingerbread Christmas tree cookies as wedding favours, which were a fab idea for edible favours for anyone with November/December weddings (and by the way, absolutely delicious!).

All captured beautifully on film by Sian at Truly madly and stunning images by Dani at Mini+Me Photography.
After a whirlwind year, we had so much fun putting this shoot together and working with all of the lovely suppliers to make the vision come to life – and we hope this may have inspired any newly-engaged couples to go for a wintery wedding, they can be just as magical!

Does it get any more festive and cosy!?
