Welcome to Laury-Anne and Andrew’s stunning Fife farm wedding, held in beautiful Scotland. Their day was all about having a good time and being with their loved ones, teamed with good food and nice music. Doesn’t it sound amazing? Well, it totally was.
First up, they were married in a cow shed, which was beautifully decorated with swathes of fabric and bright blooms. Then they partied in the marquee where they also had a BBQ the following day, just awesome!
Look out for gorgeous outfits, DIY decor and the most gorgeous sunset portraits. Thanks ever so much to Joy Story for sharing with us these tremendous images of such a special day.

We got engaged during COVID. We weren’t able to go anywhere for a while so in between two lockdowns we took the opportunity to go away for a weekend. We got engaged on Camusdarach beach in Arisaig. It was cold and windy but the view is incredible and we had a great time.

We didn’t really have a vision, we just wanted our loved ones around us, have some good food, nice music and I guess get married too. It was more about everyone getting together than anything else, the wedding just gave us an excuse.

I think in the end we spent about £30K.

We got married on Andrew’s family farm. I’m not from the UK, where I’m from when we get married we party the night away and despite searching for weeks we couldn’t find anything that would allow us to stay past 1 am.
So we had our ceremony in one of the old cows’ sheds and then popped a marquee in a field for the rest of the night and the following day.

We had a humanist ceremony, Paul Browett was our officiant and it was perfect. Everyone laughed, and cried and had a memorable time.
Music was provided by Ross Miller and other pipers from Inveraray Pipe Band, we had “me and my chanter” by Lincoln Hilton to walk down the line and Pachelbel’s canon in D as played by Clan Gregor Society Pipe band in their 2008 medley.

Andrew got married in his family kilt, picking his outfit was probably the easiest part of the whole wedding.
I wore a Madi Lane dress that I bought at Reve de Dentelle in Mons, Belgium. No veil, no accessories, and a pair of Vans for shoes.

Sarah from Joy Story was our photographer, she did both our engagement and wedding shoot. She spent the whole day with us, from the getting ready in the morning to the party at night. We got some great shots that we still look at and have used as phone screensavers or to print for family members.

The flowers were done by Briar Rose Design from Glasgow and everything else we did ourselves.

We couldn’t go on honeymoon until the following year, farming is busy in the summer so we went back to work after the wedding and honeymooned in January 2023.
We spent 3 weeks travelling across New Zealand, definitely worth the wait.

The ceremony definitely, being able to spend time just the two of us, and the next day. We brought everyone back for a chilled Sunday BBQ, it was good. The weather was hot and sunny which was perfect.

Don’t worry about the details, no one cares if the napkins match the invite colour which match the bridesmaid dresses.
Spend money on what counts and that people will remember: your officiant, the food, the party and good photos. What counts is having a good time and being with your loved ones.

Such a dreamy day.
Laury-Anne and Andrew, I can’t thank you enough for sharing with us your incredible Fife farm wedding story.
