Now here is a real wedding that oozes love and romance. The photographs here today really knocked my socks off; intimate portraits of the couple, splendid details and everything in between, all captured by Belle Art Photography (thanks Becy!).
WWW readers Amy and Conrad were hitched on the 21st April 2018 at Northside Farm in the gorgeous Northumberland countryside. The farm venue hosts a magical barn, which proved to be the perfect blank canvas for their raw and rustic day. The pair took influences from the woodland in their décor choices, keeping everything super simple and opted for greenery everywhere. The results are just marvellous, a combo of bohemian, rustic and totally chic style.
I have to say that their little boys looked so cute in their braces and flat caps, did you ever see sweeter page boys? Groom Conrad went for a modern country gent look with a tweed jacket and waistcoat paired with a flat cap, so cool. Amy meanwhile fell for a flowing fit and flare gown with lace embellishment and a long veil, didn’t she look beautiful? What a gorgeous family and their day is a really lovely celebration filled to the very brim with happiness.

We travelled to Thailand to spend a month backpacking around the islands, when we got to Koh Tao (Amy’s favourite place) it just felt like the perfect time to pop the question. We took a short taxi boat over to Nang Yuan Island, which overlooks Koh Tao, and took a walk up to the view point. While Amy thought I was taking her obligatory “looking longingly out to sea picture” I got down on one knee and knelt on the sharpest stone I’ve ever seen. When she finally turned around I could barely speak, but I managed to keep it together and, as they say, the rest is history
Raw venue, woodland theme, relaxed, boho.
Planning was so relaxed, we wrote a list in a little notepad, throwing ideas around, but literally just bought stuff as we went. No stress what so ever!
We didn’t have a set budget but we wanted it to be as rustic and raw as possible so we made a lot of the little features ourselves to keep costs down.
We stumbled upon Northside Farm completely by accident, our original venue wouldn’t allow us to erect the three tepees we needed to house all of our guests so we had to make other arrangements. We fell in love with the venue from the moment we saw it, the exposed steel wall ties, oak beams and stone walls are all beautiful features.

Shoes – Debenhams
Necklace – NOTHS
The dress was a massive impulse buy, I went for a pizza with my friend (not the ideal meal to have prior to buying your wedding dress) stumbled across Wed2B at Gateshead and thought I would have a quick look. Third dress I tried on, and I was sold!

We didn’t want any flowers as such, just lots of green natural foliage! I had ivy hanging above the aisle, along with two vintage watering cans full of foliage. My bouquet along with the bridesmaids and groomsmen button holes were everything I envisioned, created by Muscari Events.

Our photographer was Becy @belleartphotography
Becy is beyond talented, she captured our day so perfectly and gave us images we can cherish forever. I will never be able to thank her enough for her creativity and style. It was everything we dreamed of and more! Becy was so down to earth, very relaxed and just has an eye for capturing those vital little details!
Our venue was like a blank canvas, and to be honest, we didn’t have to do much too it. Big wooden place settings with mixed gin bottles full of foliage. Very simple, very rustic, very us.
We don’t have a honeymoon booked as of yet. We have what they call Irish twins (2 babies born less than a year apart) so we have our hands full at the moment… we are hoping to get to Santorini when the time is right.
The whole day was memorable to us. We had a firework display later in the evening, which really ended things on a high. We loved sharing our special day with the people that mean the most to us. My grandad (Amy’s) unfortunately passed away suddenly the day after the wedding. We are forever thankful that his last day was surrounded by all family and friends.
Just relax, go with the flow, whatever happens – happens for a reason, be happy, love each other, enjoy every moment – it goes so fast!
