Easy-Going and Friendly Wedding Photographer from London

Hello, my name is Jay. I live in London with my beautiful wife Sam and our three kids. I've been a wedding photographer for 14 years, and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing over 500 weddings. When you look around at wedding photographers, you’ll often see similar messages about capturing natural moments. That’s a cornerstone of my approach too, and it has been since I launched my business back in 2009.

My Approach to Wedding Photography

To me, capturing natural moments means avoiding forced poses and focusing on real, authentic interactions. It’s about letting people be themselves and capturing those genuine, unscripted moments. I know exactly how to create an environment where you and your guests can relax and be yourselves, so your photos reflect the true essence of your special day.

Experience and Passion

I’ve photographed nearly every type of wedding, from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. What I love most about weddings is the chance to tell a story through my photos. My goal is to document your day from start to finish, capturing all the unique moments and emotions that make your wedding special. While I might not stay until the very end of the night, I will be there well into the evening to ensure I capture the most important moments.

My Style

You’ll often find me blending into the background, almost like a guest, with my cameras discreetly hidden under my suit jacket. As a fly-on-the-wall photographer, I’m skilled at capturing natural moments without intruding on your day. My style combines natural wedding photography with elements of fashion and fine art, creating a beautiful and timeless collection of images.

Why Choose Me

I pride myself on being reliable—over the past 14 years, I’ve never missed a wedding. I’m also known for being easy-going and friendly, making sure that you and your guests feel relaxed in front of the camera. No awkward poses or cheesy grins here—just genuine, stunning photos that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Tell couples about your experience and approach
I've been shooting weddings since 2009 so have seen almost every single type of wedding, both big and small. Intimate and vast. I love weddings primarily because I love people and I love storytelling. Wedding photography is a bit like telling a story of the day, from the beginning of the day until the end. Well maybe not the end because that might be a bit inappropriate for the photographer to stay THAT late, but I definitely stay very late into the evening!!!!
Are you super chatty or will be you be a fly on the wall?
I love people and am very happy to talk to anyone who talks to me. I look like a guest and many guests will think I am a guest as my cameras are hidden under my suit jacket....But I am a fly on the wall photographer, so for much of the day, this is where you'll find me. Floating in the shadows, capturing natural moments from the wings!!
What can couples do to get the most out of their wedding photography on the day?
Relax, not look at the camera and be themselves. Simple.
What are your artistic influences?
So many!! I love all art in general and regularly go to see art exhibitions with our kids. As well as fine art and modern art, I also love fashion photography and European cinema. If it has subtitles, I'm interested!!
What was your favourite wedding shoot, and why?
One of my all time favourite weddings was a Cath Kidston style reception complete with picnic blankets, wicker baskets and handmade sandwiches and cakes for every guest. I have never seen anything like it before. It was beautiful.
What kinds of moments are you looking to capture?
All wedding photographers say the same thing. That they're looking to capture authentic, natural moments but they say that because 99% of couples are looking for beautifully captured photos of the biggest day of their life. I also mix in natural wedding photography with a heady blend of fashion and fine art for good measure.
Why should couples choose you as a photographer?
Because you can rely upon me to deliver a beautiful collection of photos to last you a lifetime. I am reliable and in 14 years I have never phoned in sick on the day of a wedding. I am also a really nice guy. I know how to make couples feel relaxed in front of the camera. No horrible awkward posing, no cheesy grins, just gorgeous timeless wedding photography.
What is the most important thing to you when you photograph weddings?
To capture real moments as they happen. No forced, staged stuff.
What's the most important thing couples should know about you before they book?
They're getting someone who really and truly cares about you and your photos. Look at my reviews on Google. I give absolutely everything.
