Nathan's profile info

Hi, I'm Nathan. I’m a videographer, I blend into the background and frame candid, and dreamy, cinematic shots. But I'm also at your wedding as an experienced pair of hands, so anything I can do to help, I'm there. Before the wedding we’ll run through a short story questionnaire so I know the people and moments that matter most. My filmmaking is rooted in honesty. I want the camera to feel like a guest who quietly remembers everything. I lean on natural light, gentle movement and true-to-life colours rather than flashy effects, because a wedding is already cinematic if you pay close attention. Shooting with fully manual lenses keeps me present and intentional. Trust is my core value: I’m there to honour your experience and craft a film that doesn’t distract you from living the moment. Ultimately, I aim to create a piece that ages gracefully alongside your marriage.

Tell couples about your experience and approach
Hi, my name’s Nathan. I’m a filmmaker based in Sheffield and I’ve been filming weddings for the past six years. During this time I’ve filmed weddings in Cyprus, Iceland, Japan, Italy and all over the UK. On the day, I’m a natural wedding videographer; I capture the moments as they unfold.

I pride myself on being a good communicator and a resourceful person. I think it’s important to have these skills on a wedding day. My unofficial title is chief helper-outer. If I spot anything I can do to make the day a tad smoother and have you feel more comfortable, then I’ll do that.

Prior to filming weddings, I was in the film/TV industry; I bring that experience with me to every wedding I film.
Are you super chatty or will be you be a fly on the wall?
I am naturally an observant videographer. I think wedding days are beautiful and I enjoy capturing them candidly as they are. I’m there to honour your experience and craft a film that doesn’t distract you from living the moment.
What kinds of moments are you looking to capture?
I always pay close attention to the main characters in a couple’s love story. There are moments we expect at every wedding - the first kiss, the exchange of rings, the confetti throw (I do love a good confetti throw). But when something goes off-script and you get a real, raw, unfiltered reaction, that’s priceless. Being able to capture the couple fully immersed in that beautiful moment means the world to me, because I know what it means to them.
