You can often add additional sets, although most bands will not wish to play more than 2 to 3 hours in total, and will seek breaks in between sets as it is hard work. Yes and no. Bands are unlikely to play any live music between sets, unless this is specifically set out in their packages on wedissimo. That said, many bands will come with their own DJ and they will play alternating sets. If you don't have a DJ, you could ask the band to play your Spotify playlist or similar in between sets, and most will be very happy to plug this in to the PA and do just that.
The majority of bands offer to learn your first dance if it is not already within their repertoire. You can check whether or not they do this by looking at the 'What's included' section on the bands' packages. If, for any reason, it's not possible (for example if you want an electronic dance track and have hired a ceilidh band) then they will let you know, and will normally offer to play this as a recording on the PA at the start of their set instead.
