Honestly… most of the couples you’ve just seen on our Wedissimo profile said exactly the same thing before their wedding. 😂
We’re exactly the same. If we don’t feel comfortable with the person behind the camera then we’re awkward too. 🥲
The good news is that’s not something you need to worry about because it’s literally our job. You don’t have to know how to pose or remember what your hands are doing. We don’t expect you to suddenly become models just because you’re getting married. We want you to actually experience your wedding, not spend the whole day wondering whether you’re standing in the right place or smiling the right way.
There are moments we’ll never interrupt because they belong to you. If something beautiful is happening naturally, we’re not about to jump in and turn it into a photoshoot. We’d much rather quietly document it exactly as it happened because that’s the bit you’ll still feel years from now.
Then, when the time feels right, we’ll step in. Sometimes all it takes is a little prompt, a silly question or giving you something to do together. Before you know it, you’re chatting, laughing and completely forgetting there are cameras around because you’re focused on each other instead.
We’re big kids at heart ourselves, so if you’re the kind of couple who laughs until your stomach hurts, loves a bit of adventure and doesn’t take yourselves too seriously I think we’ll probably get on really well.
Before your wedding we’ll have a proper chat, not because we have a script to follow, but because no two weddings are ever the same. We want to know about the people who mean the most to you, whether there’s anything you’re feeling nervous about and what’s actually important to you. Some couples have everything planned, others haven’t got a clue where to start, and honestly, both are completely normal. We’ll meet you where you’re at and help as much or as little as you need.
On the day, we don’t expect you to fit into the way we work. We change the way we work to fit you. Sometimes that means quietly blending into the background for hours. Sometimes it means stepping in with a bit of guidance. Sometimes it means fluffing dresses, calming nerves, finding missing buttonholes or making everyone laugh when the nerves kick in. Every wedding has its own rhythm, and we work with it rather than against it.
