Welcome to Noah and Jennifer’s romantic The Bothy Glasgow wedding in Scotland. Their city chic day was so stylish and meaningful. They had a humanist ceremony as their guests were seated around a cosy table, isn’t that lovely?
They also had gorgeous seasonal flowers, sweet touches and the coolest outfits. I love Jennifer’s super stylish bridal suit and Noah looked very dapper in his check suit. Wow! Look out for the pair of floral wedding cakes plus gorgeous city portraits in Glasgow. Swoon.
Thanks ever so much to Struve Photography for sharing these sublime images with us today.

On Christmas Day 2020 over a morning of bucks fizz, croissants and coffees. Noah was very spontaneous and in the moment. He then pulled the ring out of his pocket and dropped to his knee, which was a beautiful surprise.
We wanted to have a very intimate setting with immediate and close friends and wanted a humanist ceremony, It was very important to us to have a super relaxed setting with our loved ones.

The Bothy Glasgow
The Bothy is a hidden gem, in the west end of Glasgow, discovered by the charming cobbles of Ruthven Lane.
We choose the Scullery, it was our own private dining room tucked away from the rest of the world. A beautifully atmospheric room featuring a rustic original fireplace, and lots of natural light and exposed stone. This room was perfect for our 24 guests with an intimate setting and It was the most magical day celebrated with loved ones.
For the evening we headed onwards to the Ubiquitous Chip for some champagne and refreshments with family and continued into the early hours.

We chose to have a humanist ceremony which was tailor-made to us. Our wedding celebrant was incredible and focused on our love story and the things that were important to us as a couple. It was such a beautiful relaxed day
I walked into Etta James song “At Last” to see my wonderful husband waiting for me at the rustic fireplace, whilst our family and friends sat around the comfortable dining table whilst we said our vows.
After the ceremony we had our own playlist that we chose especially for our wonderful day, collating songs that had a special place in our hearts.

Our photographer was Kristin Sharp (Struve Photography).
We cannot recommend Kristin enough, not only is she a lovely person, she captured our romantic story and special moments throughout the day. It was very relaxed and Kristin worked her magic whilst blending into the background making everyone feel at ease.
And working her magic through the lens creating a bespoke range of images in the Bothy and down the hidden cobbled streets of the west end and we will cherish these forever.

Styling and decor was thanks to Jen’s sisters and Jen’s mum for creating a romantic setting from table details to favours for our guests. My sister Louise has a natural talent for crafts and making wonderful things.
The themes were very natural and rustic, fresh thistles and lavender from mums garden, we had homemade tablet for favours, small polaroid images of us at each table setting with memories of many places we had been to and dates we had been on. And not to forget beautiful thank you cards with personalised packs of confetti with biodegradable petals in them.
The cake was from the ARAN bakery, we decided to go for two free-standing cakes with seasonal fresh flowers placed on for decoration. The cake design was very minimal and just what we wanted. They looked very beautiful with detailing from fresh flowers making it flow into the rustic setting. The bakery did an incredible job and the cakes tasted sensational.
The flower bouquet was from New Bud Floristry, these flowers were everything I could have ever wanted and more. Jenni was fantastic and her creative skills gave me a beautiful bouquet with magnificent colours which gave a lovely pop. This incredible bouquet was perfect.

We still haven’t had a proper one yet. Not long after our wedding, we headed to Germany for our friend’s wedding which we extended our stay and went to Cologne for a minimoon with our daughter Amelia.
Life has been very busy since but will get round to a proper honeymoon oneway!

Walking into Etta James “At last” and seeing my wonderful husband-to-be standing there with the biggest smile waiting to share our love story with family and friends.
Spending the morning time with my mum and sisters at the venue, having some alone time in the morning before the wedding. In June, we sadly lost my dad, so the emotions were running high. So it was lovely to have that quality time with my mum and sisters before the guest’s arrival.
Mum walked me in which was magical and such a beautiful moment that I’ll cherish forever.
The ceremony, celebrating with our wonderful families and children. They all took part in doing something special on the day, it made it magical and wonderful. My mum and sisters doing something special each, Noah’s brothers and children taking part in our ceremony gave us so much happiness and joy that we could all be together and celebrate our special day.

Do what makes you truly happy, don’t compare to others. The best thing about having your special day is to have it how you truly want it. Enjoy every moment, we had a wonderful day/night.
Oh so special.
