A big thank you to Jess and James for gracing our pages today. They had the most divine County Down country house wedding, held at Tullyveery House, Northern Ireland. Just wait and see!
Their wedding vision included colour, fun, good food, good music and dancing – if that’s not a recipe for an epic day, I don’t know what is.
They had the most beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a beautifully styled reception. Think amazing flowers, fun stationery, awesome attire and smiles all around. I love the bridal PJs, confetti moment, countryside portraits and two-tier wedding cake. Swoon!
Huge thanks goes to Iain Irwin Photography for sharing these sensational images with us. Enjoy!

James proposed on the beautiful North Coast of Northern Ireland at one of our favourite spots called Portballintrae. He had made us a picnic with all my favourite foods!

The vision was always wanting lots of colour throughout the whole wedding! We wanted a very personal day that was full of fun, full of good food and full of dancing!

James’ outfit was a navy suit from Bogart in Belfast. He chose a suit for him and his groomsmen from Herbie Frogg as he wanted something he could wear again!
For his tie, James chose an ecru colour with navy spots as he liked the subtle look of it and it made him stand out against the groomsmen. The groomsmen had navy ties with very small green dots on them and to tie it all in, the FOB and FOG along with our brothers wore an oxblood-coloured tie with small gold spots. They were all tied in but in a very subtle way! Shirts were Remus Uomo.
For my dress I knew I wanted sleeves so when I tried on a Sophie Rose Bridal dress at Petticoat Lane Bridal shop I knew that was the one. The dress originally had a low v-neck at the front and back but Sophie was able to completely customise the dress to have a square neck and square back! It was buttery soft! Shoes were from Esska. Necklace – Lily and Roo. Earrings – About November.

Our photographer Iain was nothing short of amazing. He made us feel comfortable from the get-go and he made taking pictures so much fun! We had such a good laugh with him all day long and we couldn’t recommend him enough!
Plus, the sneak peek of the pictures we have received from him are incredible. Definitely a mix of romantic, fun, candid and precious photos captured!

Our décor was very fun and colourful! For the most part, the flowers that my wonderful best friend and maid of honor, who owns Gathered Floral Co did the talking!
The flowers were bright and included loads of my favourites! She actually did each bridesmaid bouquet slightly differently as they were all in different coloured dresses! She made us arrangements of plinths for our ceremony that were later moved to sit around the cake. We were obsessed with the flowers and were very lucky to have our best friend do them!
The cake was very simple looking and made by another amazing friend of ours called Wendy who owns wendywalkersworkshop. She added some flowers for us to make it look fun! Wendy also did all the stationery for our wedding! There were lots of bright colours and squiggle-cut edges.

We haven’t been on our proper honeymoon yet as I (Jess) am a teacher so we will go in the summertime! However, we did go on a little minimoon! We went to Dubrovnik in Croatia and then went to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The trip was only 5 days but we had such a lovely time exploring new cultures, food and of course getting some sunshine!

Wow wee! What a day.
Jess and James, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your incredible County Down country house wedding story with us.
