In simple terms, I will meet with you, find out all about you and then create a dream wedding ceremony for you and deliver that ceremony with panache and flair on the day.

I love to chat to couples who have clear vision of what kind of ceremony they want - and also those who are clueless! I have over ten years experience and whatever wedding planning stage you are at, I can really help you get this right.

For a more detailed breakdown, here is a timeline;

Pre-booking
I prefer a free Vibe-check video call to meet you and go over key details and answer any questions. (For Marriage ceremonies there is a statutory minimum of 28 days and I will need to speak to you to confirm suitability.)

Within 30 days of booking - If we have had a pre-booking video call, then I will confirm in writing within 14 days all the details.

If we have not spoken prior to booking then we will have a phone call or a video call to confirm details before a written confirmation of details can be issued.

Around 3-6 months before the wedding
90 minute planning meeting to confirm all the details.
If you are within 25 miles this is normally a home visit where I will come to your house/flat and go through everything with you.
For couples who live further away this can be a video call.

Up to 2 weeks later
Full copy of ceremony script provided.
This will be revised up to once a month with any changes or amendments required.

On the day
I will conduct a wedding ceremony wearing my kilt at your venue!

The fee includes; my time for meetings and correspondence, a donation to a humanist charity (we plant a tree for every ceremony we do) and my return mileage to your venue up to 200 miles (Islands excluded).

The fee does not include: Statutory fees for marriage ceremonies are paid direct to the local registrar, at 2026 this is £100 (£45 x 2 for application forms and £10 for the marriage certificate.)

The First Act is perfect for couples who want a beautifully written, completely personalised wedding ceremony but already have someone in mind or lined up to deliver it on the day.

Using my signature plan & play process, I'll get to know your story, personalities and relationship before crafting a bespoke ceremony script from scratch. Together, we'll create a ceremony that feels meaningful, engaging and completely true to who you are as a couple.

You'll receive support with personal vows, symbolic elements and ceremony structure, along with two rounds of edits to make sure everything feels just right. I also offer a video call with your chosen ceremony presenter to help them feel confident bringing your story to life, alongside some useful delivery tips.

Ideal for destination weddings, friend-led ceremonies or couples looking for professional ceremony writing without celebrant delivery.

I have a free consultation to find out whether I’m in the Celebrant for you and tell you all about what I do. If you book, you will receive a booking form which, once your deposit has been received will be followed by the questionnaire to find out a little bit more about you and what you want from your wedding ceremony. When you’ve completed your questionnaire and returned it, we will set a date to get together to discuss final details and plan the ceremony. We talk about all the options, including unity ceremonies, such as handfasting, wine and sand Ceremonies etc if required, poems, personal touches etc. I’ll then write everything up and send it to you for your approval or edits. We’ll also arrange a read-through to ensure everything is accurate. If you'd prefer to receive the script in writing, this will be provided once the balance is paid, one month before the ceremony. This still allows time for any final adjustments if needed. On the day, I arrive about an hour before to prepare for the ceremony. I include a beautiful bespoke design for your commitment certificate, vow, poem booklets and keepsake script. Unity ceremonies can also be designed to coordinate. I also dress in keeping with colours and themes of your day.

This package offers the option for costume (Peaky Blinders or Pirate).
