My husband & I had a humanist ceremony for our own wedding some years ago, writing our script and personal wedding vows ourselves – as I can help you to do too, identifying what is important to you – and everyone came up to us afterwards to say how much they enjoyed our wedding, and how it truly and uniquely reflected us. I have been trained in drama at the City Lit, and worked as a trainer, personal coach, and management consultant, as well as standing for Parliament! The skills I have learned enable me to make sure that your ceremony is inclusive, warm and full of love. What do you love most about being a celebrant?

I love to help you to hold the unique and personal ceremony of your dreams, wherever you wish to hold the ceremony, perhaps at the same place as your reception and party! See below for location ideas.

I want to make your wedding ceremony truly special and meaningful, including finding out what you particularly love about each other - you can never say too many nice things to each other!

Do you specialise in any particular types of ceremonies (religious, spiritual, humanist, themed, etc.)?

I am trained and accredited by Humanists UK to provide unique and personal non-religious wedding ceremonies which are all about you - we will create the ceremony together, because that way it will mean more to you both, and will truly reflect your personalities. Many of my couples are of mixed religious backgrounds, or are more mature, or may be the same sex. I am happy to incorporate cultural traditions, from hand-fasting to breaking a glass underfoot or walking round a fire together.

Which venues have you worked at?

I have created wedding ceremonies and vow renewal ceremonies at venues ranging from family gardens, village halls, historic hotels such as Grim's Dyke Hotel and Stoke Place Hotel, specialist wedding venues such as Headstone Manor, Q Vardis or the Cavendish Country House, and tourist attractions such as The Globe Theatre and the Wallace Collection!
