Paul's profile info

I’m a Wedding Celebrant with years of experience, multiple awards and a full accreditation from Humanists UK. I've a proper passion for creating wedding ceremonies that are anything but ordinary. If you choose me, you’re not just getting someone who’ll rock up on the day and read a script. You’re getting someone who’ll really get to know you, who’ll craft a completely bespoke ceremony that captures your story, your humour, your vibe... all the things that make you you! I’ll guide you through every step with warmth, creativity and zero stress, from our very first chat right through to the moment you’re officially hitched and riding high on confetti and good vibes. Expect belly laughs, maybe a few happy tears, and a ceremony your guests will still be talking about long after the last glass of fizz is poured.

Tell couples about your experience and approach
I don’t do dull. Your wedding is too important to settle for a ceremony that could belong to literally anyone. Your wedding deserves more than a one size fits all script with your names awkwardly dropped in.

What I do is build a ceremony around you. Your story, your humour, your quirks; all the little things that make your relationship what it is. From the heartfelt moments to the laugh out loud bits, it’s all part of the magic.

Think of me as your storyteller in chief: equal parts warmth, wit, and “oh my days, that’s so them.” The result? A ceremony your guests won’t just sit through... they’ll be talking about it long after the last dance.

Based in Newcastle, I work all over Northumberland, the North East, and beyond. Wherever your big day takes you, I’ll be there making sure your ceremony is authentic, personal, and unforgettable.

No clichés. No cookie cutters. No boring bits, guaranteed.
What do you love most about being a celebrant?
What do I love most about being a Wedding Celebrant? Honestly? All of it.

I get to take a couple’s wonderfully messy, magical, completely unique love story and turn it into something that makes people laugh, cry, and go, “Wow, that was so them!”

I love getting to know my couples; the quirks, the chaos, the quiet moments, and creating a ceremony that actually feels like them.
Not just words for the sake of it, but a whole experience. A moment they’ll never forget.

I love being a safe pair of hands. A calming presence in the middle of what can sometimes feel like wedding planning mayhem. Someone who says, “It’s all going to be fine... and actually, it’s going to be brilliant.”

And I love the power of words. Of connection. Of finding the perfect way to say, “This is who we are. This is what we’ve built. This is why we’re choosing each other.”

Plus, if I’m being honest… I absolutely live for the happy tears, the belly laughs, the cheeky glances, and that buzz in the room when everything just clicks.

That’s why I do what I do. And I flipping love it.
Do you specialise in any particular types of ceremonies (religious, spiritual, humanist, themed, etc.)?
I’m a Humanist Wedding Celebrant, which basically means I create and lead non-religious wedding ceremonies that are all about you – your story, your values, and your love for each other.

There’s no script template. No “insert name here.” Just a ceremony that reflects who you are, what you believe in, and the life you’re building together – with joy, meaning, and personality in bucketloads.

Humanism is about celebrating love, life and human connection. It’s about you as human beings, and for me, that includes standing proudly for equality. Love is love. Full stop. Whoever you are, whatever your gender, sexuality, race, religion (yes I also do non- religious weddings for couples that might identify with a faith) your story deserves to be told with the same care, respect and joy as anyone else’s.

So if you’re looking for a ceremony that’s warm, inclusive, and unapologetically you, with no judgement, no preaching, and definitely no dull bits, that’s exactly what I do.
What's the most important thing couples should know about you before they book?
I’m not here to churn out a script and call it a day. I’m here to create a ceremony that actually feels like you. I’ll dig into your story, find the heart, the humour, and the quirks, then weave it all together so your guests go, “Wow, that was SO them.”

I take the job seriously (but not myself), which means you’ll get someone reliable, organised, and a sky high reputation… who’ll also happily laugh with you about your dodgy first date or that time you got lost on holiday. In short: I’ll bring the warmth, the wit, and the “best ceremony ever” vibes.
