Tell couples about your experience and approach
I’m a big believer that your wedding day should be all about being present, not posing. Of course I do the normal group and couple photos you'd expect and I take a relaxed, unobtrusive approach, think of me more as a guest with a camera than a director shouting instructions. I focus on capturing all the real, candid moments as they naturally unfold: the happy tears, the bad dance moves, the little looks between you two that say everything. Over the years, I’ve found that the magic happens when people forget the camera is even there. That’s when the genuine stuff shines through and that’s what I love to photograph.
What are your artistic influences?
Artistically, I am influenced by classic film photography for its timeless feel, as well as modern documentary styles. that celebrate authenticity and emotion. I also love looking at painters like the Impressionists, who had such a beautiful way of capturing atmosphere and light. It reminds me to focus on mood just as much as detail. Ultimately, my biggest influence is people themselves, every couple brings their own unique story, and that's what shapes how I see and capture the day.
What was your favourite wedding shoot, and why?
I don't think I could pick just one favourite, because every couple I work with brings something unique and special to their day, That said, a few really stand out like a James Bond themed wedding in Monte Carlo, which was a stylish and fun experience and a stunning backdrop too.
