What can couples do to get the most out of their wedding photography on the day?
I suggest that if there are any formal/traditional group shots that they want to get them done first and out of the way. Also just to spend 15/20 minutes on their own with the photographer to get some more personal couple portraits. This leaves the photographer the rest of the time to capture those fun and natural moments with the guests that you might miss and also it gets the formalities out of the way so that the happy couple can spend time with all their guests and enjoy the rest of their wedding day.
Are you super chatty or will be you be a fly on the wall?
I can be chatty sometimes, I try and gauge if people want to interact with me. A lot of the time I try and blend in and capture people unaware and find this approach captures those beautiful and candid moments throughout the day.
What are your artistic influences?
I wouldn't say i have artistic influences as such. I just love capturing single moments in time. Laughing, crying, kissing, dancing anything that can take you back to that moment and remind you of what you were experiencing.
What was your favourite wedding shoot, and why?
Probably my first one. It was a long day but i managed to capture some of my favourite natural moments with the couple and their guests. I was also complemented on seeming to be everywhere at once capturing everything that seemed to be happening. (I hope that's a good thing).
What kinds of moments are you looking to capture?
As I have mentioned in other questions wanting to capture those fun and natural moments with your guests that you might miss, capturing single moments in time. Laughing, crying, kissing, dancing anything that can take you back to that moment and remind you of what you were experiencing on your wedding day.
Why should couples choose you as a photographer?
I love photography and I love what I do.
What is the most important thing to you when you photograph weddings?
Giving the bride and groom an easy day as possible. Letting them spend time with the people that mean the most to them and enjoying the day with them. I just want to be a natural part of their wedding and to capture all the good bits.
Which venues have you worked at?
Barton Manor hotel, Preston
Burnley Football Club
The Oaks Hotel, Burnley
Higher Trapp, Burnley
Mitton Hall, Whalley
Beeston Manor, Preston
Crowwood Hotel and Spa, Burnley
Kings croft Hotel and Venue, Wakefield
Mount Pleasant Hotel, Doncaster

The Manor House Hotel and Spa, County Durham

I have also worked at several golf clubs and cricket clubs. I nearly forgot 1 park run as well.
What is your bucket list for amazing venues you’d love to work at?
I don't really have a bucket list of venues but I did attend a friend's wedding recently and thought it was a beautiful venue and that was at Eaves Hall near Clitheroe. I'm just happy capturing a couples special day though, that's the most important thing.
