Tell couples about your experience and approach
I have shot countless weddings now and am lucky enough to have won awards for my work and gained lot's of great feedback and reviews from the couples I have worked with. My approach is to really listen to my clients and get an understanding of the type of wedding photos and videos they want. I am really good at feeling the vibe of the day and specific things that make a wedding personal to the couple.
Are you super chatty or will be you be a fly on the wall?
I am confidant at weddings but never over baring. I pride myself on being able to get great shots but at the same time ensure that the couple and their guests are feel comfortable. Truth is, each wedding is different and I bring a different version of myself to each one as well. If I need to be reserved and more of a fly on the wall I can be. If its a high energy wedding and I need to stand on tables and have a laugh with everyone, I can be that too.
What was your favourite wedding shoot, and why?
My favourite shoot was the first one I ever did for my Sister almost 10 years ago. She was let down by her wedding photographer at the last minute, and as I was the only person in the family with a decent camera I stepped up. I received so much positive feedback from everyone with my photos that I had no choice but to do more and then went on to make it my career!
A chance occasion that led to a work life that I now love.
I still use a shot from that day in my portfolio to this day. A simple moment shot on an old camera worth about a 10th of the equipment I use nowadays! Just goes to show, it's not what you've got, it's how you use it!
Have you won awards or been published in magazines?
I am a double winner in the IOWP awards and also a 2025 winner on Hitched
What's the most important thing couples should know about you before they book?
I always go above and beyond with my clients. I am always available to speak to in the build up to the wedding. I always end up staying longer during the day to make sure nothing is missed. Client satisfaction is genuinely incredibly important to me. Not just for my own reputation but because I have a keen sense of how important choosing a wedding photographer/videographer is.
